ECT The 5 major warnings to Jewish believers in the Book of Hebrews

Believers will often fight so hard against being taken off the breast,
and when they are then they will fight almost like hell to avoid paying the price for growing up,
yet it is in growing up that they become powerful against the world ...
WOW ...
I never connected the milk-guzzlers with babies who are still on the breast.
I only remember taking milk out of a glass.

It is only in growing up (past the milk stage) that believers can be
overcomers which is absolutely necessary for receiving eternal life later.

But, please notice how tactfully Jesus speaks of this in Revelation 2-3,
which is how He taught Paul to do it ...
during the latter's 17 years being trained in the desert regions.

Extreme tact, whilst engulfing the dire warnings ... amongst endless
exhortations, edifications, encouragements, blessings, promises, etc.
Truly, it is almost necessary for the Holy Spirit to reveal all of this,
even though the words are all there in plain B&W.

But why so, you ask ... 'tis all to not discourage the troops!
The most precious Holy Spirit (God is love, right?) ...
can do such a better job than can words coming from man.

Do not take this the wrong way.

When children are just little then they fear nothing and no one because their Father and Mother look after them and the world is no threat to them.

When they grow up and become Fathers and Mothers then they know that the world will destroy them and their family if they do not work and fight righteously, and even then they may lose much of what they have, and only at the return of Christ will they be rewarded for all of their righteous efforts with the restoration of all things as it was for Job.

Believers will often fight so hard against being taken off the breast, and when they are then they will fight almost like hell to avoid paying the price for growing up, yet it is in growing up that they become powerful against the world, and as one has said --

"a higher level, another devil"

So readers should take note of what is said from Gods word, and stop trying to pick holes in the righteous as if that will allow us to escape the truths of Gods word.

You preach a lying gospel, a false gospel. you are cut off from Christ.

Not meaning to be rude, but what's your point?
He wants to take what is written in Hebrews to Hebrews in a tribulation context and apply it TO us (Gentiles) in the dispensation of the grace of God. It's a common blunder of a confused individual.

Jas 5:19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
Jas 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Jas 5:19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back,
Jas 5:20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

Stupid and dull person, James is addressing the brethren, if any one among you wanders from the truth.

The brethren have not wandered from the truth the sinner wandered from the truth who they are to convert.

You cannot understand scripture because you insult the Author of it.

He doesn't say brethren if any of you wanders from the truth.

All I hear from you and Zach and GsT and the others is a howling conscience, You are the ones who are fallen and you are terrified that you've lost your salvation. Well; you haven't you have just lost the joy and peace, the satisfaction you felt.

You have as the scripture said lost your first confidence.

There is only one cross, only one sacrifice for sin...you have to make it work by BELIEVING it,

Yes indeed, sister.

How can we be looking back to being saved and sealed, all the while looking forward to being saved at the end?

James 5:19-20 (NKJV)
“Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth,
and someone turns him back,
let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way
will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.”

This is all so obvious to anyone who can understand what they read.
It's so obvious that 'tis difficult for me to see why the Holy Spirit
is even necessary to reveal the Truth of what is written.

What's going on here, LA?
Is it pure idiocy, or is it a desperate attempt to ignore the obvious Truth?
Another possibility is they're yankin' our chains, and gettin' a big laugh out of t.

Yes, it is!

James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

How is that being rude?
The point is: OSAS is a false doctrine from the very pits of hell.
Many dozens of warnings are NOT in the NT just for comic relief.

What about the Old Testament? Outside of the apostle Paul and his gospel given to him by the Lord Jesus Christ, all you find in the Bible is condemnation for those who sin. Like the previous poster said, did you have a point?
