Yes! I started watching baseball in 1976. In those years we didn't even have local cable at home and of course no Internet. The only TV baseball I got to see was NBC's Saturday Game of the Week and ABC's Monday Night Baseball.

Yes! Mel Allen was a legend! The ending music of TWIB was a classic. Again since I didn't have cable TV, watching TWIB I got to see some highlights of other major league teams.

In the late 1970's my spring/summer Saturdays consisted of:

1) Getting up at 6:30 AM
2) Watching Saturday morning cartoons.
3) Watching TWIB.
4) Watching the Saturday Game of the Week.
5) Playing with my friends OUTSIDE until after sunset.
