( Matthew Chapter 5 through Chapter 7 )
The Sermon on the Mount.

Read that First IF You CARE at All; but I doubt that any of you Care anything about what Jesus or God has ever said!!

After Reading that; - Read this: -- ( Matthew 13:34 KJV ) -- 34- "All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in ( "PARABLES" ); and ( Without a ( "PARABLE" ) spake He NOT unto them )". --//--

NOW!! ---- Everything Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount was ( "PARABLES" ), and Was NOT the "Truth" of what Jesus Wanted everyone to BELIEVE, and Have FAITH IN!!

( 2 Corinthians 3:6 KJV ) -- 6- "Who also hath made "US" ( Able Ministers of the New Testament ); (( not of the letter )), (( but of the Spirit )): ((( for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life ))).

(( Hebrews 1:13-14 KJV )) -- 13- "But to which of the Angels said He at ANY time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14- ((( Are they not ALL ))) ((( Ministering Spirits ))), ( sent forth to Minister for them "Who shall be" heirs of Salvation )?

(( IF )) You go by the doctrines of the Sermon on the Mount, ( You Cannot be Justified ) in Any "WAY"!! -- You Must learn the Truth of God elsewhere, Not Anything there to learn what you must do to be Saved. - Every Word in the Scriptures ARE "PARABLES", and NOT / "NOT" to be taken for Salvation. Those things of Salvation are found hidden "IN" the Word, and are Not the WORD. The Spirit of the Word cannot be Seen by the Lost!!

If you are Lost, it is Impossible for you to Know anything about Salvation!! You will just make up Lies to suite yourself, and Nothing ELSE!!

You may have the timeline backwards, Paul.

And the disciples came and said unto Him, "Why do you speak unto them in parables?" He answered and said unto them, "Because it is given unto you to know the mysteriesof the kingdom of heaven, but unto them it is NOT given.” Matt 13:10-11
Sermon on the mount starts in chapter 5. It has much imagery and allusion which are pretty straightforward and understandable. But he began speaking in parables to HIDE truth from those who were rejecting Him around ch. 13, which is why the disciples came asking Him why He was now speaking in a way that made truth unclear even to them.

Jesus taught in parables. He did not use the propositional theology put into his mouth by the early church. He would be seen as a hypocrite who was not "walking his talk" if these anti-people sayings are seen as "truth."

Parables overturn conventional wisdom, which is part of the reason they sound so puzzling to us.

--God is unclean
--God does not play favorites
--God is a loving father, not a cruel judge
--God sometimes comes in a form that helps us through the actions of our enemies.

Luke's information about the verses called "Sermon on the Mount" in Matthew are from what is called the "Sermon on the Plain."
