They know more about Hanukkah than you do. Hanukkah isn't in the OT.

Anyone who knows about Hanukkah knows Daniel 11 already happened.

They know more about the law and prophets than any of us, and did not recognize the Lord when he showed up.

I won't rely on them to interpret a spiritual Book.

I won't rely on them to interpret a spiritual Book.

Yet you rely on John Nelson Darby and EW Bullinger.

There's nothing spiritual about the fulfillment of Daniel 11. It's prophecy that was fulfilled by events that actually took place during the Seleucid Empire and the Ptolemies in Egypt. What happened with the Hasmonean Dynasties and Maccabees lines up perfect with Daniel 11

And that is where Preterism fails.

(Matt 24:34) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

This is just one verse amongst many, but unless you can show this one verse means something it does not, than you can't prove preterism wrong.

The burden of proof is on you, fella. You're the one claiming the Messiah returned and nobody knew about it.

The temple was destroyed in 70AD, not one stone was left standing upon another. That's exactly what Jesus said would happen in Matt 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13.

Is there any writing that can corroborate that Messiah came when it was destroyed? That's what we need to see in order to make sense of preterism; if it isn't there, it didn't happen. With the biblical material, we have the proof of the events that are claimed to have occurred; with your second coming of Messiah, nada.

And what else did He say would happen when He returned?

Tet cannot discern that the three accounts of this in Mark, Matthew, and Luke concern both what happened in 70ad and what will happen at the Second Coming.

These were the two next events in prophecy to take place, and the LORD lumped them all together, except for a brief hint found in Luke.

There are similarities between the events of 70ad and the Second Coming. Tet majors on these, and ignores the MANY differences between the two events, to his own peril.

His adoption of preterism was born out of a recent hatred of all things dispensational and for the King James Bible.
He sought solace from preterism after the dispensationalist and KJB believer john w hurt his feelings.

He said that He would gather the the elect of Israel from wherever He had scattered them, according to prophecy.

Deu 30:3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

So, either He is taking His sweet time to do it or He hasn't returned yet.
