Marxism and communism are too new, this goes back at least to the English civil war, 1642-1660, when that short king George Monck saved Western society, from the institutionalized insubordination which possessed the Puritans when they rebelled against their king, and put him (along with many other of their political opponents) to death.

Speaking of things in the documents we use for justice, he was the one that voted (1-8) that a violent criminal should still have his arms. The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The bigger issue is in play, but the concept is correct. If he raped, murdered and stole, he should be punished accordingly. And arms is no longer in question.

You let a guy outta prison, you're letting him carry guns, is my view. To say his right to bear arms is restricted because he's an ex-con, means you should have kept him in jail. You don't let a guy out who you're only OK with him being in society, as long as he's not carrying a gun. He's going to get a gun if he's out. Be honest. He's going to get a gun if he wants a gun, if you let him out. If you're not comfortable with this guy having a gun, then you simply leave him in jail. To rot. He dies in jail. That's justice. Also, putting someone like that to death is justice, but either one fits the bill.
Prison does not exist in the Bible as punishment.

My daughter is still a few years away from home schooling her kids but she's already starting to look into her options so this is super helpful!
