Psalm 150

1 Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty expanse.
2 Praise Him for His mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
3 Praise Him with trumpet sound;
Praise Him with harp and lyre.
4 Praise Him with timbrel and dancing;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.
5 Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!

Have a great weekend!

Have you ever sung that Psalm in church?

Yes, and many others.

One of my favorites is Psalm 19.

:)

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." Psalm 19:1-14 (KJV)

Yes! Amen! Psalm 34, one more amongst the many I cherish am I beginning to see as the evengelistic [street preaching] message intended by Christ Jesus as opposed to the traditional "alarm filled" one. The prerequisite for preaching it is our owning it.

This is the "song" portion.

That "song" portion is new to me. Not even in my aged Salters.

Isn't is interesting that we can Jesus in this portion:

"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple." Ps19:7 KJV

Now I know why. . . :)

This portion [in bold] is found in my Salters but, I don't recall ever singing it.

An old hymn:

My life goes on in endless song
Above Earth's lamentation.
I hear the real though far-off hymn
That hails a new creation.
Through all the tumult and the strife
I hear its music ringing.
It sounds an echo in my soul,
How can I keep from singing?

While though my joys and sorrows roll;
My Lord, my Savior liveth.
And while the darkness 'round me grows
Songs in the night He giveth.
No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that Rock I'm clinging.
While Christ is Lord of heaven and earth
How can I keep from singing?

I lift my eye the; cloud grows dim;
I see the blue above it.
And day by day the pathway smooths
Since first I learned to love it.
The peace of Christ make fresh my heart;
A fountain ever springing.
All things are mine since I am His.
How can I keep from singing?

:D

Have a good and godly day everyone.
