Parents Protest Texas Middle School For Not Suspending Student Author of ‘Killing Children’

Parents at one North Texas middle school are outraged over an online book called Killing Children that graphically describes murderous rampages. The “kill list” of characters are the schoolmates of the eighth grade male author. Many of the parents see him as a threat to the safety and well-being of their children and, in response, at least 50 of them protested peacefully outside of Tidwell Middle School in Justin, on Monday morning, March 23.

Angela Abella was among the concerned parents at the protest. She told Breitbart Texas that none of the parents were there to target the boy. “We want help for him. We don’t feel that the school is taking things quite as seriously as they could.”

Many brought homemade signs on colored poster board that read “Are you going to let his story become reality?” and “Stop taking chances with our childrens’ lives.”

Last Friday, Tidwell Middle School principal Kim Barker notified parents of the situation by email. The message stated that campus administration had been notified of the blogged novel “allegedly using disturbing language and mentioning other students by name” and that “a full investigation was initiated.” She stated that the “safety and security of students and staff in Northwest ISD and Tidwell Middle School is a top priority. It is not uncommon for school districts to receive alleged threats by students.”

The school wont suspend the student even though he has named classmates, and said what he would like to do to them.

Free speech now includes threats of violence against classmates?

Northwest ISD officials say they can’t legally take action until the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office completes its investigation.

But get this from the last page of the students blog book:

On the final page of the online blog that has caused such a commotion at Tidwell Middle School, the student writes, “If anyone is wondering if/when this story ends, it will end with a bang. I promise.”

And thats not even the insanely graphic stuff directed at certain named students...

I wonder why this kid isnt in custody or remanded to a mental facility?

Are they waiting till something horrible happens there?

There was in some of the articles about this, i went to read it and the book had been removed from its hosted site, it was some kind of site for writers - started with a W, dont remember the name

PS i found the site again, it was called "Wattpad" - they removed the kids 11 part book of short stories

An eighth grader, who asked not to be identified, said she was best friends with the student in sixth grade, but the two had a falling out. She said she believes he's capable of doing everything outlined in the book.

Stephanie Lee says she was sick to her stomach when she found out her eighth grade daughter was named in the book. Lee changed her daughter's school schedule so she wouldn't have class with the student in question, but says her daughter has begged to be schooled at home.

More than a 170 students aren't attending school because of this.

How is posting in graphic detail murdering people one hates, not a threat?
