Our Shrewd God

Clete's thread title inspired me.

(Thanks, Clete!)

There's a point-of-view where when we look at God from there, God looks shrewd. God is love, God is just, God is holy, God is merciful and gracious, but God is also shrewd. Can anyone else think of what shrewd means? I think it means clever and wise.

Does anyone else have any good synonyms for shrewd?

Inspirational Scriptures: Matthew 10:16 / Luke 16:1-8 & especially verse 9

16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

16 ... “There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods. 2 So he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.’

... 8 So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.

9 “And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home.

He says things about himself. I wonder why people don't repeat it. I don't mean your post right here, just that yours fits the bill too.
