In Norway a feminist would be applauded for anything anti man. However a feminist in Norway is facing jail time because she said a man can't be a lesbian. :rolleyes: Truth always outs and it is now a crime to tell the truth in Norway.

Countries like Norway carry a double historical burden, different from ours. They carry the normal historical burden of their development over the centuries and their transition from monarchies to constitutional monarchies to democracy. But it's complicated by the recent phenomenon of the proximity of the Soviet Union and being that close to the Cold War. I often think that some of the behaviors we see on these former iron curtain countries and the free countries adjacent to them is similar to a national psychosis.

As Americans we tend to think of the geography of Europe as a fixed construct. It's very much not. Many of the borders were not fixed until after World War II, a mere eye blink in the course of European history.

As Americans we've been lied to for decades now that we're somehow just like all the other countries.

We're exceptional. Always have been.

All of Europe has something gravely wrong with it, always has. It's like Africa but rich.

Norway may have its good points but it also lags behind other nations in other points. For example, the gross individual financial wealth per capita in the US is $417,248.00. The gross individual financial wealth per capita in Norway is $153,522.00. The mean net financial assets per capita in the US is $218,469.00, the highest in the world. The mean net financial assets per capita in Norway is $27,626.00.

With net financial assets per capita in the US at $218,469, the assets per capita in Mexico at $5,955, and the assets per capita in Columbia at $3,742 it is no surprise millions of poor people to our south want to invade America for the "good life."
