It is possible he was telling the truth about sex orgies in DC. Such filth has not been a well-kept secret for the decades of debauchery by public officials, sadly, as politicians indulge in damnable practices with no fear of God in their brains.

It is pretty well known that intel agencies target those who do not just go along to get along using standard intel blackmail tactics such as drugging them and then videoing them doing things they would not do otherwise. As all conservatives are now considered to be enemies by the deeps state this story is not surprising in the least. This has been going on for a long time. Longer than you or I have been alive. Any thinking person would realize this.
In this case, Republicans are the deep state, because Republicans are the ones leaking all of this scandalous Cawthorn stuff to the media. It's their payback for Cawthorn's claim, which he refused to retract, that high-ranking Republicans that he looked up to invited him to participate in their cocaine-fueled orgies.

So you think that is surprising? There is a reason that congress is known as the swamp and a uniparty. Their corruption is well known and beyond obvious any more. They are no different than the Democrats. They just play the roles assigned to them so that there is a plausibility of there being two opposing parties. They both get together and vote in whatever they choose. It's been going on for more than 100 years.
