That is not what is said now is it? (tsk.., tsk..)
Well, I admit it is hard to keep track of this conversation. Do you know how to use the quotes so you can respond to each of my questions directly, as I am doing now, rather than lump all of your answers together? If not, I can show you, it's pretty easy, I bet you could even do it stoned.
To the question: "Will you allow your teenagers to bring pot into your home?" ?
Why not?
and we are talking about marijuana.
We were until I asked about pornography and cigarettes, then the discussion took on a broader scope. So, will you allow your teenagers to bring pornography and cigarettes into your house?
You can predict the future no more than I.
I beg to differ. Right now, pot is illegal. You have to be 18 to buy cigarettes and 21 to buy alcoholic beverages. If pot is ever legalized, don't you think it's a pretty sage bet that it will only be legal for adults? That isn't predicting the future, that's just using common sense.
I classify it as an herb.
By what definition?
What does my view of society's definition of "drug" have to do with my husband using it for his Multiple Sclerosis?
OK, I'll bite, why is your husband using pot? [If you say for medicinal reasons, you have just conceded that it's a drug.]
I said SOCIETYS DEFINITION. Im my opinion society in general groups deteriorative substances as "drugs".
Isn't aspirin a drug?
In general conversation if you were to say one was "on drugs" it is meant negatively.
Yep, and if you said someone was on medication, it would sound as if it was prescribed by a physician. Are you on medication or are you on drugs?
I am saying that i do not look at marijuana as either deteriorative or a negatie substance.
Neither is aspirin, but it's certainly a drug. If it isn't negative or deteriorative, then why not share it with your kids?
Like I said, that's just my opinion, of which I am entitled to.
Yes, you are entitled to be wrong.
We both have an understanding of this general idea, and you will keep saying what you say and I will keep saying what I say. I just wanted to point out the infinite circle of madness here. If you find infinite circles of madness agreeable, then so be it.
I find them entertaining, but what I said about denial happens to be true.
If I am sure of anything, I am sure of that.
Yep!
