That's a great point. Knowledge without love is useless. And love without knowledge lacks the fundamental support to be able to love in the way God wants us to love Him and one another.
Paul prays that the Phillipians' love would abound more and more in knowledge...
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; that ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ. Phi. 1:9-10
And Peter said that knowledge (in addition to faith and virtue) is the foundation for love (among other things).
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. II Pet. 1:5-7
One without the other just doesn't work.
