I'm afraid, on the contrary, that it will backfire. I just don't think she's the best example for this kind of thing......
Why isnt she, were you a sinner before you were saved?

God bless her!
reminds me of that saying:
If you were accused of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?
"You will be hated by all..." Jesus said to His followers 2000 yrs ago

The two issues are only related in some people's minds. The Civil Rights marchers prayed to God and often sangs Christian songs. The most famous civil rights leader, MLK Jr. was a preacher. The same was seen in the abolitionist movement a century earlier.
Why isnt she, were you a sinner before you were saved?
To disagree on principle does not necessarily make one an evil person.
And members of the KKK held bibles while they burned crosses.
Which is living proof that not all those who profess to be Christian are followers of Christ.

Matthew 22:21-25New American Standard Bible (NASB)
21 They *said to Him, “Caesar’s.” Then He *said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s.” 22 And hearing this, they were amazed, and leaving Him, they went away.
Mayors and councils of "sanctuary cities" have ignored or broken immigration laws. When will they be jailed?
Way out of context since thats about taxes, Jesus, Paul and most of the disciples were jailed for their faith for not following Roman law or Jewish law.
Guess you didnt read that far did you?

Sorry, but that's horribly untrue. Pilate was hesitant to convict Jesus specifically because he broke no laws. The Sanhedrin forced Pilate into a corner because they thought that Jesus was a threat to their faith.
Jesus was also under jewish rule, which is why pilate asked what should be done with him and how Jesus was presented to them.
Then there is paul and the other disciples, jailed and killed under Roman law.
You don't know your bible. Here is a secular source for you though:
