Is constant confession needed for forgiveness?

Hey everyone. I have a challenge for you. Everyone has been taught that in order to be forgiven after you're a Christian you have to confess your sins constantly and repent of them. Can anyone find me 5 bible verses, in the New Testament, after Jesus was crucified to support constant confession in order to gain forgiveness?

ALL "True Believers" have already been forgiven of all their sins,
through the shed blood and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

What sins? The Lord Jesus Christ died for them-1 Cor. 15:1-4 KJV

"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins(all sins past and future), according to the riches of his grace;" Eph. 1:7 KJV

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.(all sins past and future)" Eph. 4:32 KJV

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.(all sins past and future)'" Col. 1:14 KJV

"And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;(all sins past and future)"- Col. 2:13 KJV

"Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you(all sins past and future), so also do ye." Col. 3:13 KJV

What sin? Unlike sins, plural, sin, singular cannot be forgiven-it must be judged/condemned. And it was:

Romans 8:3 KJV For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin(singular-my note), condemned sin(singular-my note) in the flesh:

Ok, sinless and perfect ones.

suit yourselves.

good day.

Show us where Paul ever refers to members of the boc as "sinners."

You: Not a peep.

He does not-"saints"-memorize it.

You, to the LORD God: Shuck this verse, "'god," and good day to you, sir, as you are on ignore:

"And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;- Col. 2:13 KJV

All Jesus talks about is obedient to Him until the end. He knew there is going to be fake believers.

Jesus taught us how to differentiate true and false believers.

He says we know them by their fruit. People who don't show godly fruit are fake believers. Jesus does not approve of lip servers.

Lip servers are fake believers.

Christians who are not humble are fake believers.

1 Jn 2:1, 1:9

1jn 2-1 doesn't say we need to confess. It says basically not to worry about it and keep moving forward in Christ because Jesus has it covered.

1:9 is a one time event that takes away all sin. And his audience is non-christians. Proof is 1:3

Jesus taught us how to pray. You conveniently dismiss that.

Jesus takes away our former sins when we become His followers. Jesus did not give His followers license to sin and that's what you are hoping He is saying, it seems.

Your reading is so convenient and it is just wishful thinking. You are hoping cheap salvation.

Do you know Jesus tells us to be perfect? If we continually sin after we become His follower, we are only being hypocrites and Jesus does not approve of hypocrisy.

Jesus also says His followers are salt and light of the world. If we are no different from non-believers and ungodly, we are not salt and light of the world.

You need to stop preaching false gospel.

Is it possible for someone to lose or reject his saving grace?

Is it possible for a member of the body of Christ to become cut off from the body of Christ?

Wrong. You continually reading the scripture the way you want it to be like most churchgoers.

The new covenant was cut at Calvary. When Jesus taught his disciples how to pray they were under the old mosaic economy. Therefore, if it is not backed up by verses after Calvary it is not part of the new covenant. This is basic hermeneutics when reading a text.

Yes, we need to ask forgiveness daily because we are all sinners..

Hebrews 6

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

You're bantha fodder.

My goodness.

you are just amazing.

How old are you, BTW?

You sound like you just got quick information from young churchgoer who doesn't know much about gospel.
