xxx The IF's in the Word of God are conditions of love. There is no such thing as unconditional love. God says He will(not is) but will be a Father to us. If has always been one of the biggest conditions for love in God. God will love you IF.

God was still loving the so-called "brother" even while he was having immoral sex:

1 Cor.5:4 When you are gathered in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, along with the power of the Lord Jesus, 5 hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord

Love Omnipotent was still loving those who had rejected faith & a good conscience & had shipwrecked their faith:

1 Tim.1:19 holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and thereby shipwrecked their faith. 20Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme

Even when God punishes it is loving and corrective:

Hab.1:12 O LORD my God, my Holy One, you who are eternal--surely you do not plan to wipe us out? O LORD, our Rock, you have sent these Babylonians to correct us, to punish us for our many sins.

What would make you think it wasn't? How is it any different from the verse in the post you quoted, or other similar Scriptural examples where Love Omnipotent's harsh dealings with humanity are corrective & therefore loving, such as:

Here we see even God's wrath is corrective, therefore loving:

Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the LORD’s wrath, until he pleads my case and upholds my cause. He will bring me out into the light;I will see his righteousness. (Micah 7:9)

XXXX There are those who say God has unconditional love for us. Not so, there are conditions for love. Like crucifing our flesh(emotions & feelings). Like works of faith, because faith is dead without works. Like bringing every thought into obedience with Christ(new testament). And all these conditions take a life time. One must be born again, that takes atleast 14 years.

These are ways of falling from grace, falling short, being disqualified, getting taken out of the book of life. These are conditions.

Rev 3:16
16 "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

There is a way to know if God loves you. If you can either obey Jesus or if you can repent when you don't.

But the word "love" doesn't occur in any of those verses.

"God is love".
