According to our Indian philosophy and a few of European philosophers the essence of everything is spiritual including matter. Being spiritual our perceptions of everything even matter is spiritual. What is felt by our six senses we denote as matter but Indian philosophy denotes that as illusion ‘Maya’. These senses are extensions of our spiritual senses. So perception of matter is also spiritual.
Heaven is not exclusion of anything but is all inclusive but in higher type of perception. Matter is also there but in higher and truer spiritual form. So Paul said that all material creation is crying for higher transformation and waiting for the resurrection of us, God’s children for that. Resurrection is nothing but higher type of perception. Christ’s material death is an illusion according to our faulty perception. Actually he (soul) never died and nothing does even matter and energy.
When apostles saw Jesus after death they were given a higher type of heavenly perception from above. When one sees a ghost it is also a special type of perception but far inferior to that heavenly perception. We must be careful not to mix up our present limited perceptions with the fuller heavenly perception which apostles had and we shall have if we progress spiritually.
