Is Moshe Dayan lying then? He must be according to you then.
He even said they took the Golan just to take it. He was going to use the Golan as a bargaining chip. He never thought they would keep it this long. Your argument isn't with me, it's with him then. I just pointed out Israel wasn't attacked first. Everyone on this board and in history agree with this fact.
Or your lack of acknowledgement of Gods promises to Israel were never revoked lest they were never a promise to begin with. It says more about your lack of faith that God will not fulfill His promises, and if His promises are null and void for Israel, how can you be sure that His promises to the church are also false. Are you calling God a liar? That is what it sounds like, if so that is what is truly pathetic Doc. I guess it comes down to that...do you believe God's promises are true or are they false, reversible, a moving target?
Did I say God revoked His promises to Israel? No, sure didn't. He has been more than accommodating to them. Yet they reject Him over and over. Even now. Acts 2 thru 9 bears out the Kingdom was offered, they refused. God set them aside. Hopefully one day they will get with the program. Until then, when the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled, something will happen. Until then, we don't know. But that gives Israel no special place. They are just like me and you. They are not above well placed criticism.
 What would you expect? Maybe they should have prophesied about places unknown?Yet, all prophecy concerning the end times, the church, and Israel all take place in that region do they not?
Prior to the Six Day War, a low intensity conflict festered between Israel and Syria. In 1964, a Syrian attempt to divert the headwaters of the Jordan River was halted by Israeli aerial bombardment. Syria also shelled Israeli communities from positions in the Golan Heights and allowed its territory to be used as a staging area for incursions into Israel by Palestinian terrorists. |
Syrian planes bombed northern Israel on June 5, the first day of the war. The following day, Syrian forces attacked the Israeli communities of Tel Dan, Kibbutz Shaar Yashuv and Ashmura but were repelled by Israeli forces. The Syrian air force unsuccessfully attempted to bomb oil refineries in Haifa. Israeli forces counter-attacked on July 9 and 10, driving the Syrians from the Golan Heights and bringing the Six Day War to a close. Estimated Syrian losses were 2500 killed, 5000 wounded, and 591 taken prisoner. |

Regardless of what Moshe Dayan said which from what I have read was to the effect that they wanted to give the Syrians a bloody nose with the Golon, as well as hold the strategic property where the Syrians were shelling Israel from. Yes, the Syrians prior to the six day war were quite aggressive using the Golon to shell Israelis & allow the PLO a staging area to commit terrorist acts, also Syrian planes were bombing Northern Israel on the first day of the six day war June 5 1967 so, do I feel that Israel was the aggressor in any of the tensions with the Arabs?...Nope. The Arabs were openly aggressive on all sides and got their butts shellacked for it...the Arabs have been nothing but, bullies concerning Israel since 1948 and they got taken to the woodshed for it. You do notice that they tread lightly with Israel now don't you? Bullies understand a good butt kickin...

I don't know...sure looks like the Syrians were pretty aggressive to me...they got what was coming to them and lost the Golon in the process no matter what Moshe Dayan said his ulterior motives were. To bad, so sad...sucks to be an aggressor.

Ahhh, from the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA). Need a better source. Not an arm of AIPAC. Much obliged.

Well, Eeset in her first post didn't seem to have been aware that Israel annexed the Golan Heights in 1981 and tried to make out that they were only just thinking of annexing it now that there was oil there. So I wouldn't bank on everyone agreeing with that fact as some people seem to be really ignorant. (Or perhaps not ignorant - sorry Eeset - if you were simply in the habit of inventing any old fact to place Israel in a bad light.)Everyone on this board and in history agree with this fact.

Why aren't we seeing media coverage on this topic?
Evidently Cheney, Murdock, Rothchilds and other very influential people are directly involved in the US company which was granted exclusive oil rights by Israel. This whole situation has a stench about it.
The media is liberal/socialist. Connect the dots.
Apart from your factual inaccuracies....
I have always opposed their usurpation of territories.
