Gas prices are skyrocketing because of Biden

Americans who are not hurting because of skyrocketing costs are likely either independently wealthy, addicted to government welfare and largesse, or not totally mentally aware of their surroundings. Biden himself does not seem to understand why there is a problem at the pumps due to his irrational continuation of Obama's program of shuttering fossil fuel production in America.

The Wall Street Journal reported on the skyrocketing energy costs last week, "Crude oil has risen 64% this year to a seven-year high. Natural-gas prices have roughly doubled over the past six months to a seven-year high. Heating oil has risen 68% this year. Prices at the pump are up nearly a dollar over the past 12 months to a national average just over $3 a gallon. Coal prices are at records."

Government agencies are now admitting that home heating costs are going to skyrocket this year due to democrat global warming nonsense and failed democrat efforts to stamp out covid. This will be especially hard on the poorest Americans, not that the rich democrats give a hoot.

The average heating cost for a U.S. household is forecasted to see a double-digit increase this winter, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) in its October winter fuels outlook (pdf).

Retail energy prices are expected to approach “multiyear highs” due to supply-demand changes following the pandemic as well as a colder winter ahead.

Pelosi made $200 million in the last two years as a lowly public servant, so why should she care how much poor Americans are made to suffer because of democrat pork spending?

Republicans have intentionally blocked everything President Biden's administration has tried to do to build back better, and then blamed the administration for a failure to act. It's politics, sure, but it's dirty politics. I only wish the Democrats would get down to the GOP's dirt level and fight dirtier, but I'm not hopeful. The GQP base wants to deconstruct the U.S. and rebuild it via theocratic fascism, so watch the other hand while they're busy pointing at "antifa! Biden! Hillary! Obama! Libruls! Commies!"

Of course deluded and deranged leftists continue to blame Trump for the disaster the democrat shutdown measures have created, but Americans are stupid if they buy that nonsense.

From the following article see if you can see why republicans have been advocating fully opening the country back up for business for the last 12 months and more.

Unemployment insurance claims reported for the week ending March 14th showed a sizable spike, but the true contraction likely started the following week (the week ending March 21st). It appears that millions of Americans have already lost their jobs, likely at a pace that exceeds job losses in the worst weeks of the Great Recession. Even if economic activity in the United States were not being shut down in support of social distancing, the current spread of the COVID-19 pandemic around the world reduces demand in the world economy and complicates supply chains, and the drop in equity prices lowers household wealth to an extent that would have caused a sizable slowdown in the U.S. economy. When those factors are added to the economic disruption needed to fight the virus, the United States will likely see one of the sharpest economic contractions in its history this March, continuing through the second quarter of 2020. The open question will be how quickly restrictions on activity are lifted and whether the economy can snap back; both will depend in part on policy responses.

Biden and Obama shut down American domestic energy production in order to save the planet, so they stupidly thought. What has resulted has been US dependency on foreign oil at greatly increased prices while foreign oil producers pollute the planet 10 times worse than the US. Democrats are not very smart.

The CEO of United Airlines has warned that prices for flights during the busy holiday season will spike. United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby said surging fuel prices are to blame for the upcoming travel prices that are expected to balloon.

"Higher jet fuel prices lead to higher ticket prices," Kirby told CNBC. "Ultimately, we'll pass that through."

Kirby did not speculate on exactly how much airline fares would increase. However, United Airlines anticipates an average price of $2.39 a gallon in the fourth quarter. That's an increase from a $2.14 a gallon price in the third quarter, and a $2.02 average the airline paid in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The Democrat clown show on parade.

The fact that Biden and incompetent buffoons in his administration do not know why gas prices are so high is proof positive the morons are clueless about the connection between stupidly shutting down American energy production and monopolistic OPEC price increases.

President Joe Biden has called for an investigation into persistently high gasoline prices. With the average price of gas around the U.S having climbed to $3.17 a gallon, Mr. Biden suggested that pandemic "profiteers" might be to blame.

"There's lots of evidence that gas prices should be going down — but they haven't," he said Thursday. "We're taking a close look at that."

Idiots on the left still praise Biden as he continues to shut down American energy production, forcing him to beg Russians and Saudi Arabian oil sheiks to have mercy on America and voluntarily cut their prices so he will not look bad. What is the moron thinking? It makes no sense to cut Americans' throats in order to promote silly leftist global warming goals that will never work, especially with other nations continuing to burn fossil fuels without restrictions or concerns for the global warming foolishness.

The Biden administration is reportedly weighing the potential market consequences of shutting down an oil pipeline in Michigan, drawing criticism from opponents. Former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, Biden's energy secretary, predicted Sunday that heating prices will rise this winter regardless of the Biden administration's decision on the pipeline. "Yeah, this is going to happen. It will be more expensive this year than last year," Granholm told CNN.

The administration has yet to decide on what to do with Line 5 and officials were gathering information only to present a clear picture of the situation, according to sources who spoke to Politico.

Tens of millions of leftists have gotten quite comfortably wealthy on the American taxpayer dime and will not be bothered by rising fuel prices due to global warming nonsense. For all they care, the poor and uneducated can go without heat and fuel this winter as long as democrats keep spending money on global warming goals and on other issues that are making them rich at the expense of the poor.

The Biden administration continues to promote the bankruptcy of American energy and the resulting skyrocketing of gas prices because leftists stupidly believe those things will lead to the eventual destruction of earth as we know it. Some leftists claim earth's destruction will come in 12 years or less if the government does not greatly increase funding of leftist global warming interests promising to cure the weather.

“So, the way we basically get rid of those carbon financiers is we starve them of their sources of capital,” she said during a different event two months later.

The Biden administration, meanwhile, has been scrambling to combat increasing gasoline prices which have hit multiyear highs in recent weeks. The president has blamed large oil companies, Middle Eastern producers and has turned to other nations including China, asking them to tap emergency oil reserves.

However, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said last week that the administration viewed higher gas prices as proof that the country needs to transition to green energy solutions.

U.S. retail sales surge as Americans kick off holiday shopping, brighten economic outlook

By Lucia Mutikani

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. retail sales surged in October as Americans eagerly started their holiday shopping early to avoid empty shelves amid shortages of some goods because of the ongoing pandemic, giving the economy a lift at the start of the fourth quarter.

The solid report from the Commerce Department on Tuesday suggested high inflation was not yet dampening spending, even as worries about the rising cost of living sent consumer sentiment tumbling to a 10-year low in early November. Rising household wealth, thanks to a strong stock market and house prices, as well as massive savings and wage gains appear to be cushioning consumers against the highest annual inflation in three decades.

"It's more important to look at what consumers do than what they say," said Gus Faucher, chief economist at PNC Financial in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. "They are concerned about higher inflation, but they are still in good shape and are continuing to spend."

Retail sales jumped 1.7% last month, the largest gain since March, after rising 0.8% in September. It was the third straight monthly advance and topped economists' expectations for a 1.4% increase. Sales soared 16.3% year-on-year in October and are 21.4% above their pre-pandemic lev
el.

The economic picture was further brightened by a separate report from the Federal Reserve on Tuesday showing manufacturing output surged 1.2% last month to its highest level since March 2019, after falling 0.7% in September.

"The economy has thrown off whatever lethargy it might have had in the summer, and it is growing quite strongly," said Joel Naroff, chief economist at Naroff Economics in Holland, Pennsylvania.

Businesses are also making steady progress replenishing depleted inventories, which should help to keep factories humming and support the economy. Business inventories increased 0.7% in September, a third report from the Commerce Department showed.

The price of oil has shot up this fall, boosting profits for major producers but hurting the wallets of drivers who need to fill up their tanks. Just a few days back, gas prices in California hit their highest level ever. This week, however, some of the pressure has started to lift.

What's happening: West Texas Intermediate futures, the US benchmark for oil prices, and Brent futures, the global benchmark, are now trading at their lowest levels in six weeks on signals that supply constraints could begin to ease soon.

In the United States, prices fell sharply Wednesday after oil inventories at a key hub in Cushing, Oklahoma rose for the first time in weeks.

The IEA said in a report this week that it expects global oil supplies to rise by 1.5 million barrels per day over November and December as some production in the United States picks up again.

"The world oil market remains tight by all measures, but a reprieve from the price rally could be on the horizon,"
the Paris-based agency said.

Biden asks FTC to 'immediately' look into whether illegal conduct is pushing up gas prices

In a letter to the FTC commissioner Lina Khan, Biden cited "mounting evidence of anti-consumer behavior by oil and gas companies" and said the agency must probe whether anything illegal is occurring to drive up prices.

"The bottom line is this: gasoline prices at the pump remain high, even though oil and gas companies' costs are declining," he wrote.

He cited an "unexplained large gap" between the price of unfinished gasoline and average prices at the pump as evidence of potential wrongdoing. And he noted industry profits have increased massively, while companies like ExxonMobil make plans for stock buybacks and dividends for stockholders.

Let's look at average gas prices per gallon over the last 30 years.

1995: Democrat President, Democrat House: $1.29/gal.
1998: Democrat President, Republican House: $0.98/gal.
2001: Republican President, Democrat House: $1.12/gal.
2004: Republican President, Democrat House: $1.88/gal.
2007: Republican President, Democrat House: $3.07/gal.
2008: Republican President, Democrat House: $1.74/gal.
2010: Democrat President, Democrat House: $3.04/gal.
2012: Democrat President, Republican House: $3.81/gal.
2014: Democrat President, Republican House: $2.63/gal.
2017: Republican President, Republican House: $2.59/gal.
Last month of Trump administration, Jan 2021: $2.42/gal.
Current administration, Oct 2021: $3.84/gal.

Look at the data. Under Bush in 2008, gas prices were $1.74/gal. Under Obama in 2012, gas prices were $3.81/gal. Under Trump in Jan 2021, gas prices were $2.42/gal. Under Biden in Oct, 2021, gas prices were $3.84/gal. Do you think people cannot notice the connection between high gas prices and democrat agendas and policies?

Biden is an idiot. At least Obama knew and admitted his democrat goal of shutting down fossil fuel production in America was going to drive the cost of energy through the roof, especially for tens of millions of the poorest Americans. Biden has no clue why gas prices are skyrocketing.

Biden claimed to have 3 degrees, which was a lie, but in reality, he just barely graduated by using plagiarism to fill in the gaps of his incompetence and lack of understanding.
