Duggars Hated, Pedophiles Celebrated

This is the show from Monday June 15th, 2015

Summary:

Bob Enyart and Doug McBurney condemn the media’s visceral hatred of Christian families, actually, of Christ, which is exposed by the culture’s acceptance and even praise for pedophiles and pedophile defenders. On CNN Dr. Drew did not object when Joshua Duggar was called a pedophile. Yet many actual pedophiles, and pedophile defenders, get no end of accolades and positive press. Roman Polanski, Out Magazine, Michael Jackson, The Advocate, Allen Ginsburg, Allyson Press, the ACLU defending NAMBLA in Time Magazine’s article, For the Love of Boys, and Bill Clinton who hangs out with his billionaire pedophile friend. For more, see www.kgov.com/homos and http://www.shadowgov.com/Jackson/jackson.html .

The Duggars are held in disgust and contempt because they enabled their perverted son and allowed him to prey on his own family.

There is a great deal of hypocrisy on both sides. The two sides being believers and non-believers. Which isn't to say or mean everyone on both sides. There is a lot of false information being spread on the subject(s), which doesn't help much either, but of course hurts.

To be blunt, I think the reflexive hate and irritation toward the Duggars and most expressions of today's American-brand of Christianity is simply because people are getting weary of the elite believers impersonating the oppressed minority.

When young folks are polled to describe their definition and views of the Christian faith, they have used the words "bigoted," "homophobic," "hypocritical," "arrogant" and God knows what else.

It's up to us Christians to spread the Word in ways that can open up souls, hearts and minds--not to close them off. People tend to get defensive when they feel under attack.

Secularists and Christians are too sensitive and see every relationship with others as some sort of battle.

Not good and not very wise.

Do tell how they 'enabled it' and 'allowed' it, and why their entire family is guilty for what one of them did?

:AMR: What?

So to explain the hatred toward Christians, your showing us evidence that people hate Christians. Good move.

It's up to us Christians
:rotfl:

You don't have the first clue what it means to be a Christian.

People tend to get defensive when they feel under attack.
Whatever you do, don't tell them they are sinners in need of salvation.

Secularists and Christians are too sensitive and see every relationship with others as some sort of battle. Not good and not very wise.
They could hold hands with you and sing lullabies instead.

All very good points but the whole "we knew our son was a monster and did next to nothing" plays a part in the visceral response as well. These people are repulsive.

Today too many of the faithful are playing the victim. Christianity is part of the very fabric of this nation. O'Reilly and others try to draw lines between us. The so-called "war on Christmas" is just one, erroneous example of this.

I offer my conjectures and list my examples that support that. No different or similar to anyone else.

You don't have the first clue what it means to be a Christian.
Bottom line, I see God in Jesus walking on earth among us. Where do you see your God? In the American (Roman) Empire? In the petty cultural wars going on now? In the lack of empathy for the poor and the different? Or in the power of money?

Whatever you do, don't tell them they are sinners in need of salvation.
Take your scriptures seriously. ALL have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.

If you want me to actually take you seriously (and I have a duty to do so), please refrain from sarcastic and immature comments. When you do this you make it just that more difficult to be heard and understood. People tend to push back if they are feeling pushed themselves or under attack. Not a good model for adult communication!

Some parents are actually clueless as to their own part in raising up a child. It is obvious they would sometimes react this way. When their child starts showing the dysfunctional signs of future evil behavior, they usually do nothing proactive.

This is just what I have observed...

True, but they weren't ignorant and they went out of their way to shield him from any consequences once they realized what he was and what he was doing. Worse, they went on national television and attempted to minimize their pervert spawn's atrocities and paint themselves as victims. Grotesque.

No, they didn't, they went to the police. They also placed locks on their daughters room, and you are blaming all of them for the actions of one, tell me brainiac, how the girls are to blame?

If they wanted to hide it, an actual police report and action would have hid it more, because juvenile records are sealed and private. So much for your theory.

Uh, good for you. I guess. :idunno:

You're the one who is unwilling to call a sinner what he is.

Josh Duggar’s trial officially starts on Wednesday in Arkansas, with the accusations in place being very far-reaching. 33-year-old Josh is facing two counts of downloading and possessing child pornography. What makes this case stand out is the fact that Josh, who is the oldest child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, was featured on the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting. The show was pulled from television when stories of Josh’s accusations of molestation of his sisters came to light in 2015.
