Don't say Robin Williams is in a Better Place

This is the show from Tuesday August 12th, 2014

Summary:

It's destructive to say that we can understand Robin Williams suicide. We shouldn't say that we can understand child pornography, the hatred of blacks, nor rape. Such comments backfire. Leslie Hanks, the president of American Right To Life, mentions to Bob that she heard his call today into a competing Denver radio station and the two talk about the KNUS radio program Kelly & Company, with hosts Steve Kelly and Krista Kafer. Bob and Leslie also discuss why emotional pain is far greater than physical pain.

What in the world do these things have to do with this man's tragic death? Appalling.

At what point is it appropriate to start talking about how evil Robin Williams was? (i.e. how many dead unborn babies was he responsible for because of his left wing politics?).

I'm not claiming to know what Robin Williams believed before he died having never heard his testimony, but if he ever had a moment in his life when he trusted the Lord believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 he is saved and sealed Ephesians 1:13-14. And if so, he is in a "better place": with Christ; which is far better!

Philippians 1:23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

Like comments equating suicide with child pornography, the hatred of blacks, or rape.

:nono:

Why is it that the deaths of some folks, especially one who dedicated his life to making people laugh, evoke such despicable responses?

We are sick in the heart and head as a species.

I am always amazed how people seem to know what's going on in someone else. I have been married over 20 years and I still am reminded every day how I cannot guess at my wife's motives or read her mind. I have to actually talk to her and ask her!

While Robin Williams was in Toronto filming one of his movies, he attended Jarvis Street Baptist Church very regularly, for a number of months. It is a gospel preaching church and he heard the general call of the gospel many times while in attendance.

I was very sad to hear about his death, as we should be for anyone. I was especially saddened because to my knowledge he never professed faith in Christ. He will be even more accountable for having heard the truth and rejecting it.

I see there is much debate about depression in the other thread. I believe there are a great many intricacies about it that we do not understand. It is an awful thing, regardless of the label that is put onto it. The suffering people go through with it is very real, the manifestation of it in one's life is poignant. Suicide does not allow one to rest in peace, be in a better place, have the suffering end. That is the biggest lie Satan has put into the minds of those people.

I would not ever endorse suicide. However, I have compassion for them because they do not have strength to go on.

But at least their suffering is over. It is up to Jesus whether they will have second life or not. No one has right to judge them except Jesus.

That is the point. They have not even begun to understand what suffering is while they lived compared to what they will experience if they die without Christ.

that's your cruel god you worship. Jesus' God is not cruel.

Meshak you really are frustrating. You make no sense at all and I am not going to dialogue with you further.

The Bible clearly states that those who have not trusted in Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord are not saved. That means they go to hell. If you deny that ontop of all the other basic tenets of the faith that you deny then you are truly lost.

Jesus says non-believers will perish. Why do you make Jesus' God so cruel God.

Jesus' followers will have peaceful and loving earth in second life and thats what non-believers will miss.

We don't have peaceful world now.

ROBIN WILLIAMS is in a better place because now, he is resting as the Bible said about those who are dead and he will be brought back to Life in a thousand years along with the rest of humanity who have died. At that time , the world will be as a Paradise with plenty of food and Godly people and spirit beings who will guide him to a more peaceful life.

Lu 8:52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said,

Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.

Robin Williams was considered by many as a mighty entertainer.

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called.
(1 Corinthians 1:26)

This was not Mr. Williams time for salvation.
