. . . . Islamophobic . . . .

Fear of a real threat, Islamic Terrorism, is not a "phobia".
As usual you lie.

Anti-Israel Radical Named as Biden’s Deputy White House Press Secretary

On Sunday, Joe Biden’s transition team announced that Karine Jean-Pierre would become the principal deputy White House press secretary. Previously, Jean-Pierre was both a senior advisor and chief of staff to Kamala Harris.
However, Jean-Pierre is also notoriously anti-Israel.
In 2019, as a national spokesperson for the radical-Leftist group MoveOn.org, Jean-Pierre commended the 2020 Democrat presidential candidates for boycotting the annual American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference. She wrote in Newsweek at the time that “AIPAC’s policies are not progressive policies. AIPAC’s values are not progressive values.”
Jean-Pierre criticized AIPAC for hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, writing that “under his leadership of Israel, according to the United Nations, Israel may have committed war crimes in its attacks on Gazan protesters.” She has also accused the group of “severely racist, Islamophobic rhetoric.”

So, Nazi Joe and the Nazi Democrats pick a Nazi Antisemite for his principal deputy White House press secretary. Think of the stupidity of her calling Netanyahu Islamophobic. Like I had to explain to Nazi @eider yesterday, a phobia is an irrational fear. When all the Muslims around you ae trying to destroy your country, that is a real fear, not an irrational one.

Yes, that is correct. I even knew people who were in British detention camps on Cyprus. I do not claim the British were nice- they weren't. Anywhere (and that was quite a lot of places!). But the world is complicated! The Jews in Palestine supported the British in their war efforts against the Nazis, and afterwards fought the British in Palestine. It was the British Balfour Declaration that was one of the political basis' for the establishment of a Jewish state.

I am quite aware of antisemitism in its many forms. Neither the right nor the left have a monopoly on it. It does seem to be a Western disease- you don't see it much in Asia. Historically, the Church is responsible for much of it.

But- what is your point in these threads about antisemitism, or Israel's new warship etc.?

My point is why you guys still vote for the Democrats?
You will have to get past the stereotypes, and ask Jews, one by one. Jews are not a monolithic block. And guess what? Republicans and Democrats are not monolithic blocks either, despite all the identity politics going on.

I can venture a totally wild guess about the last election: If the Republicans had put up a more reasonable candidate for president, many more Americans, including Jews, would have voted Republican. Put up Nikki Haley next time, and not try Donald Trump again. You will get far better results.

I can't get passed the fact that most Jews vote for the Democrats.
Can you at least try to explain why?
I am sure you can find articles on line that explain this. I do not represent "all Jews", nor do I understand American Jews political thinking. I don't even live in the US.

Can you explain why "Catholics" vote how they do?

Are you really? So often in this forum you sidle up to the worst of them.

Did you see Democrat forum member @C call your people "termites" in another thread? LINK

Neither the right nor the left have a monopoly on it

Totally false statement. No real conservative is an antisemite. All of that is on the Left.

It does seem to be a Western disease- you don't see it much in Asia.

It came here from Europe. But it also flourishes quite nicely in the Middle East. As antisemitic as some Europeans are, they fall short of calling for Israels annihalation the way Iran and the Palestinians do.

But- what is your point in these threads about antisemitism, or Israel's new warship etc.?

I am posting news stories. Whether you like it or not, Trump and the GOP are the best friends you have, and the Left is your enemy. But like a beat up girlfriend you seem to side with those who want to harm you. That is twisted.

Can you explain why "Catholics" vote how they do?
Yes, we have lousy bishops.

I can but it would be boring. There are two main reasns:

FIRST: At the founding of our nation Catholics were not trusted and they were prejudiced against. They were not even allowed to serve in government. Later, at the beginning of the 20th century when Catholics first came to America in large numbers they were very poor and lived in ghettos like much of the European immigrants at that time. The Democrat Party at that time was considered the working man's party and they generally voted Democrat. That feeling has carried on for a few Generations

SECOND: The other reason ties in with what @chrysostom said. There are generally two types of Catholics: There are the Catholics who are very faithful to the teachings the church, and they tend to be more conservative because of issues like abortion and gay marriage and so forth which the church teaches are sins. They also are regular mass attendees every Sunday.
Then there are the "Cafeteria Catholics" who are called that because they tend to pick a few things they like out of church teachings and discard the rest, just like being in line at a cafeteria. They also tend to be the kinds of Catholics who only show up at church twice a year for Easter and Christmas. Those are the ones who vote Democrat because they reject their own church's teachings on sin and other matters.

If you haven't guessed it yet then, yes, I am saying that bad Catholics are Democrats and good Catholics are Republicans. I don't think that any Christian could ever vote for a Democrat just based on two issues alone, gay marriage and abortion, let alone all the other economic issues and security issues.

I will go out on a limb and say that it is probably the same with Jews. There are a lot of Jews who are just like Cafeteria Catholics and they don't give a damn about what the Jewish scriptures say. They are basically secular Jews. Then there are the believing Jews who truly believe in the scriptures and the traditions handed down from the past. That's my understanding and you can correct me if I am wrong. They are the Trump lovers and the conservatives with good reason

Now here is my question to you: Are you a fake Jew who is okay with abortion and gay marriage and socialism and the like, or are you a believing Jew who follows the Torah: "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination"

This is either baloney, or a "True Scotsman" fallacy.

This is either baloney, or a "True Scotsman" fallacy.

Oy vey. WGBH, Newsweek, and an opinion piece in jta. Did you even read the articles you posted? It amounts to "Everyone knows Trump is anti-semitic!"

And the evidence to support the claim? Either it's not presented or it's just plain wrong.

- The Pittsburgh shooting was by a man that did it *because* Trump *wasn't* anti-semitic.
- The neo-nazis at Charlotte were left-wing like all Nazis are, not right-wing. I was watching the debate in real time before Charlotte happened on whether the organizers of the Charlotte rally should allow Richard Spencer to speak. The majority of that leadership said "no" because it was a given that Spencer was left-wing.
- The "killers" statement made by Trump has to be twisted out of context to be called anti-semitic.
- The claim that right-wingers disparage Soros and Bloomberg *because* they are Jews would be laughable if there weren't smart people like you that believe it.

But let's go even farther, When there is a conservative that is anti-semitic, they are largely denounced by the right-wing, like the Pittsburgh shooter.

So, no, it's not a True Scotsman fallacy. There are anti-semitic people on the right. But they are largely denounced, loudly and publicly. While the left supports overt anti-semites not tangentially, but directly even when they say or do things that are anti-semitic.

Not enough to be of any consequence. When I say "No real conservative is an antisemite. All of that is on the Left" I am totally correct.

chair is a dupe of the radical Left despite all his protestations to the contrary.

First of all, let us not confuse conservatism with "The Right", whatever is meant by The Right.

Conservatism is a simple philosophy of Liberty and following the Constitution as intended by the Founding Fathers. There is no Left or Right in that.

As for right wing extremists, there are not enough of them in America to fill a bathtub. Their numbers have been lied about by the frauds on Fake News CNN and their ilk. Why? To take the spotlight off the real problem, the real terrorists and antisemites on the Left.

The TRUE Jew-Haters are on THE LEFT, throughout Congress, the media and academia.

Anyone who says otherwise is just wrong.
