Lets make it simple. The American system allows for pardons. The American system also gives judges a certain amount of discretion.

If Stripey does not like that, and it is that important to him, he need not live here.

Sorry, Mr. Sever. You've no credibility at all. :loser:

Town Heretic did indeed say that his legal system allows for pardons. Now he's saying it doesn't.

Stipe, you're not smart enough to pull off something like this. As you see, everyone sees what you're trying to do, and it's very obvious that you're being dishonest.

He doesn't. He lives in Taiwan.

Yes, I know he does not live here. Just suggesting that perhaps he should reconsider any move here if the American system of justice rankles him so.

But trust me, he would be the first person looking for a public defender should he be charged with a crime in the US.

Just because he'd seek a pit bull to defend himself against the other pit bull in a corrupt system doesn't mean it's not a corrupt system. :dizzy:

And why doesn't the executive have a right to grant a pardon?
God's idea of justice forbids it:

“One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits; by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established. “If a false witness rises against any man to testify against him of wrongdoing, “then both men in the controversy shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges who serve in those days. “And the judges shall make careful inquiry, and indeed, if the witness is a false witness, who has testified falsely against his brother, “then you shall do to him as he thought to have done to his brother; so you shall put away the evil from among you. “And those who remain shall hear and fear, and hereafter they shall not again commit such evil among you. “Your eye shall not pity: life shall be for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. (Deuteronomy 19:15-21 NKJV)

“But if anyone hates his neighbor, lies in wait for him, rises against him and strikes him mortally, so that he dies, and he flees to one of these cities, “then the elders of his city shall send and bring him from there, and deliver him over to the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die. “Your eye shall not pity him, but you shall put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with you. (Deuteronomy 19:11-13 NKJV)

So are you suggesting that we should treat a man rushing to take his dying child to the hospital exactly as we do a teenager speeding down the road because he wants to see how fast his car will go?
What do you think?

These are two very different cases. Good judgement will divine between the two.

That takes us back to the whether the Sabbath was made for man or man for the Sabbath.
The sabbath laws are ceremonial. They are not part of God's criminal justice system.

How can you possibly hope to understand the case against your system if you do not appreciate its distinctions?

Grace isn't the court's province.
If you're going to agree with me, you could just say so. A justice system is not authorised to pardon people, show leniency or grace.

TH answered the question you asked which was:You, Stripe, specifically said courts to which TH replied:At which point you promptly moved the goal posts by stating the following:You asked about courts, TH responded to your statement about courts, and then you twisted his words in a sad attempt to make him look like a liar. You really should apologize for bearing false witness against a brother in Christ.

Please stop talking to me. Nothing you say is of any value.

You hate God. We know.

Can't hate something that does not exist. But more importantly how does killing little babies in Noah's Flood suggest justice?

Whether or not I hate your god does not change what your Bible claims to record. All the little babies drowning. How is that just? How does that do anything but suggest your god just wanted to show his power and wrath and cared not for the human beings he was destroying, even if those human beings were innocent of sin---other than the mark on their souls from Adam's sin?

Jukia this is confusing. How can something you say doesn't exist create a flood?

Rest easy, there was no flood.

Stripe suggested that our system of justice was corrupt. Just making a comparison based on his faorite book.
He also complained that TH did not want to deal with facts--he just wanted to argue. If the Bible is 100% accurate, how does he deal with the fact of all the dead infants?

Rest easy, there was no flood.

And thus no injustice.

How does it feel waking up every morning knowing that you have to live out yet another day as a complete moron?
