What they (the blacks) have to say is more important than what I have to say.

as long as you keep in mind that the average IQ of African-Americans is 85
Get lost, racist.

It's true

and one reason why there will always be turmoil between the blacks and the other races in this country

rusha, master of irony, to chrys:
You have wifffully chosen to pretend there is no difference because you can’t be bothered to care.

:sigh:

I'm telling you what I've heard them say. And you don't know who the "them" are, do you, only that you don't want to hear them.

Here's one white person who listened:

Ravens Offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman tells of a black teammate who "shared how he doesn’t want his children playing hide-and-seek in his predominantly White neighborhood at night, a reality Bozeman had never considered."

"To be in that room — it’s just different whenever you can see the emotion coming out,” Bozeman said. "Me being a White male, I never really firsthand experienced racial inequality from that side of it. ... The stories those guys told and the things they worry about with their kids, it really bothers me."

Some of us need to listen more than we talk.

When I lived in the city I wouldn't let my kids out at night. Should I cry and whine about racial inequality?

if you don't use the words "white supremacy", "privileged", and "patriarchal"
we won't think you are getting the morning memo.

If I accidentally watch a segment of the Lame Stream Media or catch the drivel of some of the Socialist politicians, I will clearly hear them use the same saccharine-flavored language of the day to describe whatever situation does not fit in their future vision of a Socialist Utopian World. Is that the morning memo you're referring to? It would be comical if it didn't indicate that a large segment of the population is being led like a Judas goat on the way to slaughterhouse. After all, the most important thing is to make the killing of babies legal and free preferably government financed. White Privilege Fallacy: https://nypost.com/2020/07/11/the-fallacy-of-white-privilege-and-how-its-corroding-society/

The challenge to patriarchy as an appropriate term for the world society does not mean that women and men were equal. Men still dominate, for example, in most community roles. Rather, it acknowledges that calling world society patriarchal prevents us from seeing the many ways that women contributed to family and community life. Moreover, because that term focuses on gender, it obscures other inequalities––based on social class, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and/or age. If one classifies society as patriarchal, one must apply that term to the whole world, not just USA. This is myopic thinking.

Of course I remember you. :) I don't remember all that you believe, but don't think we agreed on a whole lot then and probably less today.

I don't want to argue on any of it with you though, I'd rather remember that I liked you quite a lot and would rather hold onto that memory.

You're one of the few people I do remember and my memories are positive. I'm sure we disagreed in the past and probably will in the future, but I remember you as intelligent and thoughtful. What more can a person ask on a forum? 😃

Well thank you, I hope your memory hasn't failed you  but that's just how I remember you and we had some good conversations. So I'll see you around, on safe topics maybe. :)

I'll probably stay away from COVID-19 subjects for awhile. One of my other forums took exception to some of the language I used when someone falsified (Photoshop'd) data from the 1918 Spanish Flu to support an unsupportable position. I know a bit about viruses having read numerous books on the subject and building several level 2-3 bio-hazard labs while I was a project engineer/manager. But I'm still a member in good standing even though I ruffled a few feathers including some friends. I am embarrassed for not being more diplomatic in the language I used.

As an engineer, I am now retired (at age 69, I'll be 71 in October). My memory is still pretty sharp but my temperament might be a bit different due to the side effects of certain meds I now have to take. I have a strange form of epilepsy which affects my sense of smell. I'm also a type 2 diabetic now but the good thing is I lost 30 lbs. in about 6-8 weeks just by changing my diet. It was a choice of alcohol or coca-cola (1 per day). I wasn't much of a drinker but I do miss my coca-cola. I drink a lot of water now which I needed to do anyhow since I've passed numerous kidney stones. I was able to pass them after an ER visit with the help of copious amounts of water and Vicodin. But the death of my dogs has hit me the hardest of anything. I loved my dogs like they were members of the family. My wife and I can't talk about them without choking up.

On a happier note, I'm glad you're still here and may God bless you.
