Jesus the law giver himself understood that law-keeping is the best way for sinners to realize that they are really sinners! The purpose of the law is to reveal sin - this is it's only function. It was never given as a checklist of rules where we check all the boxes and that somehow makes us righteous. Jesus wants to write the law in our hearts and do away with all the worthless law keeping so he chose Paul and put the fire of God's love inside him.

also there are lots of things that are not in the Bible that we ought to know about. for example the Bible never ever mentions "Abortion" but we expected to know it is not acceptable. The Bible never mentions the word "Porn" but we know it is not acceptable. and too many other examples to name. Just because the word or topic is not adressed specifically in scripture doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't know about it. Just because those words aren't mentioned in scripture doesn't mean the Holy SPIRIT doesn't tell us and teach us about them not being good in the eyes of the Lord
