Donald Trump is drawing more support than in 2016 among Hispanic voters and the white working class. Joe Biden is doing better than the prior Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, among seniors and white college graduates.
Add up the changes in voter preferences, as recorded by Wall Street Journal/NBC News polls this month and in September of 2016, and the result shows Mr. Biden holding a larger lead today than did Mrs. Clinton when she faced Mr. Trump four years ago—an 8-point lead for Mr. Biden this month, compared with 5 points for Mrs. Clinton. Mr. Biden is also in a stronger position in many battleground state polls than was Mrs. Clinton.

But a comparison of the polls from the two election years also shows that Mr. Trump has room to pull off an Electoral College victory without winning the popular vote, as he did in 2016.

At the same time, Mr. Trump’s standing with some other voter groups has weakened. The big picture is that both national and state polling show his position to be more tenuous than four years ago.
Mr. Biden hasn’t trailed Mr. Trump at any point this year in the Real Clear Politics average of national polls. Moreover, since mid-May his lead in that average has been larger than Mrs. Clinton’s was at any similar point in 2016, except for a one-week period in early August, when his lead was essentially equal to Mrs. Clinton’s.
As of Friday, the former vice president led Mr. Trump by 6.5 percentage points in the aggregate of polls, compared with Mrs. Clinton’s 3-point lead at the same point four years ago. One big difference is that third-party candidates are a smaller factor this year, taking less than 4% support, compared with 10% in the averaged polls in 2016.

Yes, Clinton got a huge boost from the debates, She was behind Trump at that point, and after the debates she never lost her lead. Even the final vote had her up by about 3 million votes.
That's Trump's problem. He's farther behind Biden than he was ahead of Clinton at this point. He needed a win badly. Instead he lost.
This week, Biden pulled ahead of Trump in Iowa and Georgia, just as Trump's depleted finances have him pulling ads.
Unless he cuts Biden's lead in half, he has little hope of pulling out an electoral vote victory even if most Americans vote for Biden.

Johnson, Grassley Release Report on Conflicts-of-Interest Investigation

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senators Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, released a report that revealed millions of dollars in questionable financial transactions between Hunter Biden and his associates and foreign individuals, including the wife of the former mayor of Moscow and individuals with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
These were just some of the findings from their investigation into potential conflicts of interest arising from Hunter Biden accepting a position on the board of, and taking millions of dollars from, Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company with a long-standing reputation for corruption, while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president and the public face of the Obama administration’s handling of Ukraine policy.
Findings from the chairmen’s investigation include:
- In early 2015 former Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, George Kent raised concerns to officials in Vice President Joe Biden’s office about the perception of a conflict of interest with respect to Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma’s board. Kent’s concerns went unaddressed and in September 2016, he emphasized in an email to his colleagues, “Furthermore, the presence of Hunter Biden on the Burisma board was very awkward for all U.S. officials pushing an anticorruption agenda in Ukraine.”
- In October 2015, senior State Department official Amos Hochstein raised concerns with Vice President Biden, as well as with Hunter Biden, that Hunter Biden’s position on Burisma’s board enabled Russian disinformation efforts and risked undermining U.S. policy in Ukraine.
- Hunter Biden was serving on Burisma’s board (supposedly consulting on corporate governance and transparency) when Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly paid a $7 million bribe to officials serving under Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Vitaly Yarema, to “shut the case against Zlochevsky.” George Kent testified that this bribe occurred in December 2014 (seven months after Hunter Biden joined Burisma’s board), and, after learning about it, he and the resident legal adviser reported this allegation to the FBI.
- In addition to the over four million dollars paid by Burisma to Hunter Biden and his business partner, Devon Archer, for membership on the board, Hunter, his family, and Archer received millions of dollars from foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds.
- Devon Archer received $142,300 from Kenges Rakishev of Kazakhstan, purportedly for a car, the same day Vice President Joe Biden appeared with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arsemy Yasenyuk and addressed Ukrainian legislators in Kyiv regarding Russia’s actions in Crimea.
- Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina. Ms. Baturina is the wife (widow) of the former mayor of Moscow.
- Hunter Biden had business associations with Ye Jianming, Gongwen Dong, and other Chinese nationals linked to the Communist government and People’s Liberation Army. Those associations resulted in millions of dollars in questionable transactions.
- Hunter Biden opened a bank account with Gongwen Dong that financed a $100,000 global spending spree with James Biden and Sara Biden.
- Hunter Biden also moved millions of dollars from his law firm to James Biden’s and Sara Biden’s firm. Upon being questioned about the transaction, Sara Biden refused to provide supporting documentation and information to more clearly explain the activity. The bank subsequently closed the account.
- Hunter Biden paid nonresident women who were nationals of Russia or other Eastern European countries and who appear to be linked to an “Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring.”

That's what happens when you have to deal with an inveterate liar.
What's so disgusting is how the White House refused (and still refuses) to take the safety precautions that we the little people have had to take. We wore masks, we kept our distance, we sheltered in place, washed our hands, turned our lives upside down in an attempt to flatten the curve. The White House did none of these things. Wearing masks was discouraged, precautions were little to non-existent. Trump and entourage arrived too late to be tested at the debate, and the family flat-out refused to wear masks once they sat down and waved away Cleveland Clinic staff who tried to get them to wear them. According to the pool reporter, no one except reporters wore masks on Air Force One when he was likely already contagious. How Masque of the Red Death-ish it is that so many of us worked so hard to do our part and 200,000K have died, while they partied in the rose garden like it was 2019 and spread Covid to each other. That event, now known as the #RoseGardenMassacre, may have been the super-spreader event.

1. The White House discourages mask-wearing and social distancing.
2. No one wore masks on Air Force One except the reporters.
3. The Trump family refused to wear masks at the debate.
4. The Trump entourage arrived at the debate too late to be tested for Covid.
5. The rose garden is being looked at as the initial super-spreader event. Seating was shoulder-to-shoulder and very few masks to be seen.
6. We citizens who are concerned about other people as well as ourselves have done what we could to protect others and ourselves from the virus. The White House has refused to do what its own CDC recommends.
No bias there. These are facts that you can't refute.
