His posts are always in disagreement with those who are like-minded to this forum
If those like-minded folks had any brains, they would appreciate someone coming on here that has the courage to contradict them. But most of them don't have the brains God gave to earthworms, so instead of being curious and appreciative, they try to chase the gift-horse away.

The ego is a terrible thing, especially if you believe yours is supported by God.

It means: a person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance. There is enough of that on this forum for an army.

:nono:
The ego is the organized part of the personality structure that includes defensive, perceptual, intellectual-cognitive, and executive functions. Conscious awareness resides in the ego, although not all of the operations of the ego are conscious. Originally, Freud used the word ego to mean a sense of self, but later revised it to mean a set of psychic functions such as judgment, tolerance, reality testing, control, planning, defense, synthesis of information, intellectual functioning, and memory.[1] The ego separates out what is real. It helps us to organize our thoughts and make sense of them and the world around us.[1] "The ego is that part of the id which has been modified by the direct influence of the external world. ... The ego represents what may be called reason and common sense, in contrast to the id, which contains the passions ... in its relation to the id it is like a man on horseback, who has to hold in check the superior strength of the horse; with this difference, that the rider tries to do so with his own strength, while the ego uses borrowed forces."[22] Still worse, "it serves three severe masters ... the external world, the super-ego and the id."[20] Its task is to find a balance between primitive drives and reality while satisfying the id and super-ego. Its main concern is with the individual's safety and allows some of the id's desires to be expressed, but only when consequences of these actions are marginal. "Thus the ego, driven by the id, confined by the super-ego, repulsed by reality, struggles ... [in] bringing about harmony among the forces and influences working in and upon it," and readily "breaks out in anxiety—realistic anxiety regarding the external world, moral anxiety regarding the super-ego, and neurotic anxiety regarding the strength of the passions in the id."[23] It has to do its best to suit all three, thus is constantly feeling hemmed by the danger of causing discontent on two other sides. It is said, however, that the ego seems to be more loyal to the id, preferring to gloss over the finer details of reality to minimize conflicts while pretending to have a regard for reality. But the super-ego is constantly watching every one of the ego's moves and punishes it with feelings of guilt, anxiety, and inferiority.

The Horn is a homo, so what is his problem?

I saw that ban, I think you said if this, then that. They banned you for the that. Possibly a harsh ban, just be careful and make clear that something is not what you believe

but folks say you're a homo

they like to whine about how unfair things are :idunno:

You would ask such a question because you are spiritually bankrupt.

The way I see it, you lack the talent to have your needs met on secular forums, therefore you post here to get attention. No other explanation is as sufficient.

This is quite clearly cyber-bullying.

"a person's sense of self" This would be fine, it was the false assumption you added about members here I found needing clarification.

Saying "you're black" to someone defending and loving blacks is cyber-bullying?

Shoot if you say "you are a Baptist" because I like Billy Graham, then clearly I'm not understanding what cyber-bullying is. What is 'wrong' with being called gay if you see 'nothing' supposedly 'wrong with being gay?" :idunno: You liberal theologians and politicians are a strange confusing, mixed-up, feel-good, all-you-need-is-Beatles, lot.

I want it noted that I successfully resisted the urge to post a South Park meme here.

That aside, do suppose The Horn hasn't given as good as he's gotten around here? His every post condemns and demeans the character of any and all that disagree with his position on whatever topic. I've yet to see him so much as make the attempt at rational discourse. Now, maybe I've missed a sterling example from him somewhere, but I'll argue that's because it's easy to miss.

But even that aside, do you suppose The Horn is unable to handle a little internet abuse? Do you suppose he's really so weak? I don't think so.

I think it had more to do with this:
The ego is a terrible thing, especially if you believe yours is supported by God.
1) is it true that it is terrible?
2 especially if God supports it?
3) what did 'you' use to even suggest such thing and was it 'terrible?'
4) I think she was saying 'if' we Christians have a 'terrible' ego, we 'all' have it so the "us/them" sentiment is a bit egocentric ironically, and ironically a 'terrible' observation.
