From WAVE 3 TV, Louisville, KY:

(SHELBYVILLE, Ind.) -- A Shelbyville woman has been released on bond after allegedly trying to poison her employer. Jamie Gaines worked as a babysitter for a family of two young children. WAVE 3's Maureen Kyle investigates how a minor dispute could have turned into a major tragedy.

Why would anyone mix carpet cleaner with warnings not to ingest it into a beverage and place it where family members were likely to drink it?

Shelbyville Police Chief Bob Schutte offered this theory: "I think there had been some discussion between the homeowner and her family about her performance as their babysitter."

Gaines, 23, worked for the Moltzen family, taking care of their two young children.

But a recent dispute left Gaines with a bad taste in her mouth -- and she apparently wanted to do the same to the Moltzens.

"She had added some carpet cleaner to some Gatorade bottles and placed them in the refrigerator for family members to consume," Schutte said.

This woman should be shot.
