TOL has been redesigned from the ground up! We appreciate your patience over the past few days as we closed TOL for an unprecedented 2 whole days to upgrade and redesign TOL.

You will notice right away that the look of TOL has changed and we think the new look is fresh, clean and easy on the eyes. There are also two other user-selectable looks you can select in your user control panel or via the style pull-down menu located at the bottom of every TOL page.

TOL's new features are almost too numerous to mention but the most important thing is that all of your user information, posts and image attachments are still intact. Some users may need to reinstall their custom avatar due to a glitch while duplicating our database.

The upgrade is not complete. You might notice that there are several things still missing i.e., ShoutBox, Awards, Stars or ranks etc. We will be adding those those items back in as time permits. We didn't want to hold up the opening of the forum for non-essential items.

Two of the most important new features of the new TOL are the multi-quote feature and the infraction system. We will be explaining the details on these items in the future.

The most important change however is the underlying core software upgrade of TOL. We will now have the ability to add new fresh features and products to the site that our outdated software was limiting us.

We hope you enjoy the new TOL and we certainly appreciate your patience during this upgrade.

Thanks for all of the hard work. I was afraid it was just going to be like AoS, but it is better. Thanks for the hard work.

What are those colored square thingamajigs next to the user-names?

Also that blue bar whoosywhatsit underneath the user-names?

(I'm sure Squeaky is relieved to be back, btw).

From the ground up? I like it.

TOL closed for a couple days? Yes, but AoS to the rescue!

The new look is fresh, clean and easy on the eyes? Yes, yes, and easy on the eyes!

Enjoy the NEW TOL? I will!

As for my "Patience," I needed some more exercise in that virtue anyway.

Sorry to whine. But the upgraded version is not easier on the eyes. There's way too much glare. Also black fonts are easier to read than faint blue ones. Is there anything I can do to adjust the glare and the fonts?

I might just be too old but, for the most part, I don't care for these kinds of changes. I'm sure I will get used to them and quit griping eventually. Having said all that I do appreciate that you work hard on all this stuff and are constantly trying to improve things :up:

Go to the bottom left of the page. You can try switching from TOL default to TOL LITE and see if you like that better. I sort of think I do!
