God is not fair.
Yes exactly I'll tell you what that means.
It's not fair that an innocent man should die for my sins.
I should have hung on that cross.
Billions should have hung on that cross.
Instead, one man lived a holy life, and qualified as a sin offering to God. He chose to take my punishment for me. In return, He gave me His righteousness.
That's not fair.
God isn't interested in fairness, as much as He is interested in justice. God's "unfairness" was towards His Son, and benefitted sinners. Like me.
Somebody sins, somebody's got to pay.
Jesus paid my debt.
