Republican strategist Liz Mair lists 10 ways to blow the billionaire out of the water.

1. Focus on moving an anti-Trump message to where low-information voters actually get their information.

2. Focus attacks on Trump’s support for single-payer and socialized medicine systems.

3. Focus attacks on his business record.

4. Raise the religion point with appropriate audiences.

5. Call a spade a spade, like he does.

6. Don’t replicate the policies, replicate the tone (provided that you plausibly can).

7. Don’t be a politician. Be a human.

8. Do you have non-political experience? Talk about that.

9. Go after your other rivals, not just Trump.

10. Remember, what is a concern today probably won’t be in three months time.

I think it's a pretty good list. I'm not all that scared about Trump winning but I do think this is some good advice for the other candidates.

Trump lacks tact and political saavy. There are better choices out there than him.

Which the American people like and want (I admire that Trump isn't PC and doesn't cower and apologize for the things that he says and believes).

There are better choices out there than him.

Ted Cruz will rise to the top because he is the cream of the crop (including being a world class debater).

Sorry kmoney, I didn't mean to give you nightmares thinking about a social conservative as President.

No, no, no. What a flaccid strategy.

Here's how you get rid of Trump in the Republican primaries.

Remind voters that he was a Democrat.

Remind voters that he was pro abortion.

Remind voters that he's praised Hillary and donated money to her.

Remind voters that the egotistical so-called super business man started with hundreds of millions of inherited money and has declared bankruptcy four times, including the near impossible - - shuttering a casino.

Tell Latino audiences that he thinks illegal immigrants are rapists and murderers. (Are you listening Marco Rubio?)

Cast him as a rich, white, old and out of touch hatchet man that loves to fire people. (Basically the Obama strategy with Romney.)

Play up his inexperience in foreign affairs coupled with his hot temper and depict him as a dangerous neophyte.

Keep reminding voters that he doesn't have a plan for anything, except immigration, and is full of feel good platitudes. "Make America Great Again".

Show video clips from The Apprentice of him denigrating women. Run the tape of him referring to Megyn Kelly asking him blunt questions because she was having her period.

Show the video of him being in favor of a single payer health care system.

1 and 3 makes sense. 4 won't matter. 5 they wouldn't buy. 2 and 6 won't work. 7 is impossible, T-Rump himself is becoming more politician like every day. 8, maybe. 9 is breaking Saint Ronnie's 11th commandment. 10 they just won't accept because politicians live to survive the day and now, the moment.

You do realize that about half of your list was also mentioned in what I posted? :chuckle:

I don't think the article mentioned immigration. That could work for some R candidates. Others may have trouble because they don't all have a great track record with immigration either.

Why wouldn't #2 work?

If you mean 6 wouldn't work for the same reason you reject 5 (they won't buy it) then I agree it would be difficult for it to seem genuine.
