    What is a Biblical dispensation?

The other thing is that we know this is limited to the things that don't make us God. Jesus will live forever, and so will we. Jesus is almighty, but we won't be.

    What is a Biblical dispensation?

But also like the angels, right? At least like them regarding marriage. What do you think? Will it be possible for angels to fall, or does something happen to them to prevent it? Maybe my question is "Why?" And depending on previous questions... I figured that's where he was pointing, but I'd...

    What is a Biblical dispensation?

I didn't see too many uses of "dispensation" in the gospels. I think the reason it gets used for Paul is that he joins it to the idea of "toward" his readers. Otherwise stewardship would work fine for his, as well. I like to back off from the standard uses of theological terms when I can, and...

    What is a Biblical dispensation?

Do you think angels ever become saved to the point that they cannot fall? Why or why not? And do you think we will be like the angels in that sense? Do you mean that we will direct the paths of planets, stars, and galaxies? If not, what do you mean? Interesting thoughts, Dan.

A missing Link to Genesis 1:6 God said, “I command a dome to separate the water above it from the water below it.”

I have, some time ago. It is the confusion factor...and God is not the author of confusion. Rather, He takes confusing things and makes sense of them, or chaotic things and makes orderly things of them. Thus, when He introduces a confusing thing, like calling something "heaven" that isn't "the...

A missing Link to Genesis 1:6 God said, “I command a dome to separate the water above it from the water below it.”

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I haven't had as much time to be on TOL as I'd like. I didn't do a lot of snipping. Just waited to comment until I had something to comment on. I do. But I'm saying it doesn't apply, necessarily. Well, perhaps, but you can also refer to something that...

Our biological evidence of creation and the seventh day Sabbath

Good question. The context gives a general, but not a specific, answer. Galatians 4:3-10 KJV — Even so we (I think this means "the Jews"), when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman...

Our biological evidence of creation and the seventh day Sabbath

@rstrats I'm not trying to avoid your question, but it's kind of like Paul told the Galatians. Galatians 4:9 KJV — But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

A missing Link to Genesis 1:6 God said, “I command a dome to separate the water above it from the water below it.”

So, I think you are saying we have the earth that isn't really the earth, the heavens which is more than the heavens. Sound familiar? The "not quite spherical" is due to other bodies that can exert forces or other motion that can affect the shape. If the original earth-size lump has no other...

A missing Link to Genesis 1:6 God said, “I command a dome to separate the water above it from the water below it.”

Meaning that God controls the sinner's thoughts? That the most evil intentions of man's heart are God's intentions? That His will is already done on earth, and it includes murder, rape, adultery, witchcraft, sodomy, etc.? If so, then we already can't be assured of what the Bible tells us...

A missing Link to Genesis 1:6 God said, “I command a dome to separate the water above it from the water below it.”

Yes, but I'm making a different point. The word "eretz" in Hebrew means either "land" or "whole world" from what I understand. Maybe I should have said "whole world" instead of "globe earth" there. The narrative seems to be introduced as the creation of "the heavens and the earth". I'm not sure...
