The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Or perhaps it can be explained with something we interact with every day. The earth's atmosphere. The "shimmering" is caused by the movement of the air in the sky, bending the light slightly as it passes through to our eyes or image capturing devices, but in order for it to be noticeable, it...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

I'm sure that this was posted here, but I'll post it again, for those who are just joining us. https://youtu.be/VNqNnUJVcVs Actually, it is possible to see the atmosphere from the moon. You just need a telescope or other long-range viewing item. It looks like this: [Source...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

And the Biblical perspective, while inspired by God, was written from the perspective of an observer on Earth.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Actually, since Venus has an atmosphere (though it's much hotter than Earth's), and the moon only has an exosphere, it would be more appropriate to say Venus is reflecting light in a similar manner to the way Earth is reflecting light.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

If anyone has ever blurred their vision intentionally, they know what an out-of-focus image looks like, forget even a cheap telescope.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

And you actually believe that sunlight doesn't come directly from the sun. Wow. Yup, you've gone off the deep end Dave, you really have. Tell me Dave. Does the sun emit photons?

I don't think he ever really considered what anyone else said. Debated against it (to a minimal extent), but actually considered it? No.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

So instead of responding to the arguments presented, you're going to post yet another pro-flat earth video? And not only that, but one that in the video thumbnail claims that sunlight doesn't actually come from the sun? Now you've moved to the absurd, Dave, no one can take you seriously anymore.

Welcome back to the thread. Haven't seen you in a while. How have you been?

What's interesting is that the thumbnail for that video looks remarkably similar to the experiment I described earlier.

Yeah, no. I have better things to do with my time.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

I don't see any clouds that are behind any celestial objects. I see light shining through the very thin clouds in your previous post that claims there are "two horizons", but I don't see any clouds behind the sun.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

And you're only considering 2 pieces of the watch, and ignoring the rest. Dave, do you know for a fact that where the rays of the sun hit are directly below the gaps in the clouds? Because if they are not, then it comes down to a matter of perspective, and not just simply "they don't look...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

You have not addressed all of my points, Dave, and yes, they are all relevant, whether you think they are or not. You don't consider your arguments refuted because you refuse to consider the arguments that refute yours. And the majority of people reject God because of the people who...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Also, that's circular reasoning. "The sun is close because the rays angles indicate that it's close. And they indicate that the sun is close because the sun is close." And yes, it does apply, Dave. Is the sun a single 1 dimensional point of light? Or is it a 3D object that has a surface that...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Did you do the experiment I gave you?

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Dave, As far as I'm aware, no one here has said there are two suns, so please don't make that strawman argument. Dave, going back to the parallel bars analogy, can those two bars be attached at 90 degrees to the same wall? The obvious answer is yes. IN THE EXACT SAME WAY, the beams of light...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Dave, if you have two parallel bars, one on each side of your head, and you're looking down their length, do they appear to be getting closer farther away? Do they appear to be pointing at something that's really close? If so, does that not contradict the fact that the bars are parallel? I tell...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

So instead of responding to my points, you're ignoring them because you don't like how long my posts are? Dave, it's no wonder you can't understand anything when you have the attention span of a goldfish. Respond to my points please. And feel free to break down my sentences to respond to each...
