Can a Christian lose their salvation

I hope, on the contrary, that your present faith (which is that of a self-righteous, Christ-denying heretic) does not last through even another minute, and that you become converted to Biblical faith, instead.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Um, every last liar, adulterer, or thief who has been saved from his/her sins of lying, adultery, and thieving. Duh. What a stupid question.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Why your sneer quotes around the phrase, "in the Lord"? Are you saying that no one is in the Lord? Either one is saved, or he/she is not saved. In the case of one who is saved, why do you say it is wrong for him/her to declare that he/she is saved, since he/she is therein declaring truth? It...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Have you been saved already? Yes or No? Before, by stating that you will not be saved until judgement day, you stated that you have not already been saved. Do you want to now tell a different story than that? Whether you like it or not, that is indeed what you are saying when you say that...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

As I noted before, that is you telling us that you have never been saved. By telling us you've never been saved, you are telling us you've never been sealed by the Holy Spirit. Your "hope" is the "hope" of those not sealed by the Holy Spirit, and is thus worthless.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Do you just mean that no one will be worshiping Baal in the eternal kingdom? Or do you mean that no one who has worshiped Baal will be dwelling in the eternal kingdom? You're saying that people who have eternal life can stop having eternal life?

Somewhere in a comment thread I saw someone note how, when, in deference to the cult of fools, Land O' Lakes discontinued using the image of an Indian woman on their products, they thereby ended up getting rid of the Indian and keeping the Land.:ROFLMAO:

From today: Just yesterday, though, from www.justice.gov: https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/foreign-national-sentenced-nearly-22-years-prison-mailing-ricin-president-united-states However corrupt the DOJ/FBI may be, it seems they get some things right. This French-Canadian woman had, they...

Gary DeMar and Bob Enyart: 3 of 3

👍👍 I'll have to try to get around to listening to that discussion! I'm kind of a partisan for the "The 'falling away' is the Rapture" way of thinking.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

"eternal life" = a Bible phrase "eternal life status" = not a Bible phrase Belief, rather than "belief", is the key to being saved. And the Bible speaks of believing in order to be saved, not of maintaining in order to be saved. (Of course, one may on occasion say "I maintain that such and...

    The Sound of Freedom

Bear in mind that @Arthur Brain has no scruples against calling someone with whom he disagrees, "homosexual": As can be seen in your (@Arthur Brain's) quotation from @Nick M's original post, "the latter" was the word, "queer": What's the dif between calling someone "queer" and calling them...

    The Sound of Freedom

You mind being called "queer" by someone who disagrees with you, but you don't mind calling someone "homosexual" with whom you disagree. Why your double standard, hypocrite?

    X

Anyone besides me who, ever since Twitter has been renamed "X", is (thanks to decades of conditioning by Microsoft Windows) more or less regularly struck with a sort of reflex impulse to click on the "X" logo in the upper-right corner of X posts when you're done reading them, so as to try to...

    Young Earth or Old?

Oh, thanks. I'd be interested to see what verse you have in mind, if you happen to recall which one it is.

    Young Earth or Old?

And appeals to Job 38, which they misread, are never going to get them out from under their burden. In verse 4, God asks Job: "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?" The correct answer is something to the effect of: "Nowhere, O God, for Thou hadst not yet created me." From...

    Young Earth or Old?

Which means that what @Jerry Shugart claims is false: And yet, the Job 38 passage is thought by the "The Genesis 6 sons of God had to have been angels!!!" crowd to be the ultimate "proof" from the Bible of their sensationalistic claim. It's the one passage that, according to their imagination...

    Young Earth or Old?

So, according to you, Genesis 2:3 tells us that God didn't get man right the first time so He had to fix His mistakes later? And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. I mean, you apparently think God...

    Young Earth or Old?

Yes! It's interesting how those who try to use Job 38 to prop up their sensationalist "The Genesis 6 sons of God had to have been angels, and could not have been men!!!" shtick never seem to actually read the question God is asking Job in that passage: "[W]ho laid the corner stone [of the...
