    Occasional-ism “a non-Deistic understanding of the World”

Disabled people exhibit effects of the fall in a continuum ending in death. Jess said if your eye or hand offend, pluck it out or cut it off. Paul said to mortify your members. A disabled person has some part(s) of his body already mortified. So if his soul is the same as a whole person (not yet...

    Occasional-ism “a non-Deistic understanding of the World”

I think the "Him" in vs 16 is mis-capitalized. It seems to refer to the man who is spiritual from vs 15. Do you think God removed His sustaining power at the time of the Flood?

    What would that be, tetrapartite?

What did you believe before Open Theism?

Nobody in Christian doctrinal circles doesn't believe their doctrine comes from scripture. Nobody. That includes trinitarians and non-trinitarians alike. In line with scripture? And are you talking about my side questions? I'm happy to talk about them, but it's definitely rabbit trail territory...

    Occasional-ism “a non-Deistic understanding of the World”

Agreed, but my statement stands. With both of us having a verse to back up our position, then we need to figure out how to make them both work in our understanding of the passages. What's your suggestion?

    Occasional-ism “a non-Deistic understanding of the World”

Ours souls are bipartite, comprising body and breath (spirit). Genesis 2:7 KJV — And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

"In Christ” there is no Jew nor Greek. But aren’t the Jews told to “abide in” Christ?

    Do they see us?

They witness to us, not witness us doing things. In other words, their lives are a testimony of faith to encourage us to have like faith.

    Is God's love unconditional?

Please reread my previous post, where I listed some things.

    Is God's love unconditional?

Well, Abraham had some early-gospel-of-grace material to draw from, like that God would bless the gentiles through his seed, that his seed was promised, that his seed was to be sacrificed. I'm more referring to those who never heard even that there was a salvation. Maybe there is no such group...

    Is God's love unconditional?

I agree. What I don't understand is how the gospel can be the deciding factor if their are people that don't ever hear it. Of if some people (a lot, using your scenario) hear it thru supernatural means (not from other believers), why is the primary means of saving people considered to be from...

    Is God's love unconditional?

But that makes it seem like there are either some who don't hear the gospel, but are saved anyway, or that there is no such thing as an unreached person.

    Is God's love unconditional?

Does that mean those who never hear the gospel are saved, because they never rejected Christ?

    Understanding God’s election

Calvinists have to live their lives as if Calvinism isn't true. So why is it necessary to them?

    Understanding God’s election

My point is that if the destroying is done by someone other than Jesus, and Jesus says "I have the power to lay down my life", then the same thing can (and probably should) apply to the resurrection when Jesus says "I have the power to take it up again." Can we at least agree that Jesus did not...
