According to scripture, you are both right. Jesus was the Word made flesh. The Word was with God and was God. Without the encumbrance of the flesh, Jesus was again with God and was God. THEY raised Jesus from the dead.

The means of reconciliation have been accomplished. Jesus did everything necessary for us to turn from sin and unto Him and Father. All we have to do, is use the "means". Believers will, and unbelievers won't.

Christ died for everyone. But only those who accept it and submit to God will profit from it. It is our choice whether or not to obey Him for the rest of our life.

And all we have to do is repent of sin, get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins, and endure faithfully until our end to partake of that reconciliation. Thanks be to God for making the way to eternal life.

As I have touched on before, I believe we can live without sinning. So as they must all be doing ONLY the Lord's will, and not their own will, they must not be sinning either. Wouldn't you expect? I am sure the Calvinists have some answer for that too. Like..."God wants us to commit lies...
