    Can God lie?

Death from who? God can and will use His reaction to the wickedness of man to "make a point" or illustrate what is not acceptable. He has made it clear how He will eventually react to wickedness. "Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after." (1...

    meaning of Acts 1:5

I don't, really, as I can't imagine he was alone. Acts 19:5..."When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus." Just like Peter admonished in Acts 2:38..."Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of...

    Can God lie?

Yeah? I don't believe you caught the gist of my post. The women were not under the Mosaic Law, so sin could not be imputed.

    Can God lie?

It was a rhetorical question. Well we know that satan is the father of lies, so your interpretation is off. It is written..."Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in...

Why then did Paul water baptize the twelve at Ephesus? (Acts 19) And all the men listed in 1 Cor 1?

    Can God lie?

"Excepting" or "accepting? If God won't do evil that good may occur, then why can Rahab or the midwives do it?. Because Rahab and the midwives were not under the God given Law of Moses.

    Can God lie?

Rahab was under no dispensation, as she was not a Jew. And they don't commit sin anymore. Where did he say the unbelieving world in under the Law of Moses? Paul differentiates between Jew and Gentile pretty well in those verses, even adding that the Law is only over the Jews..."Now we know...

    Can God lie?

Good description of physical death, but are you certain it is what Paul wrote about? There will still be a judgement for those folks, whereupon they will suffer a second death if their names are not found in the book of life. Death is, as Rom 6:21 says, the wages of sin. But many non-sinners...

    Can God lie?

Without the Law of Moses, no sin is imputed. (Rom 5:13..."For until the Law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no Law." So what? No lie is of the truth. What law? Perhaps you can produce it? Did He lie to protect them? No. Yes they did. But they were not under the...

    Can God lie?

As the scrip' you kindly provided references ..."them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression,"... I think death is not the "judgement" for sins. I can only agree with your post if the "wages of sin" is the second death.

I'ld hate to think you consider anyone's life more important than what God, and Jesus, thought of lying

    Can God lie?

Perhaps I should have written..."No Law, no imputation of sin." And I will add what Paul said..."...for by the law is the knowledge of sin." (Rom 3:20) Without the Law telling them what was or wasn't a sin, they couldn't' be judged by the Law of Moses.
