    Paul's distinctions

"Also" a Roman. Dual citizenship. As Judaism produced a Savior, neither the Jew nor Gentile could be saved without Judaism. That is kind of correct. He was calling the Jews at hand "blind", but Jesus came to take away the sins of the entire world. Verse 17 is one of my favorite scriptures. As...

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

Instead of using the word "hide" we should be using the word "manifesting", or "wearing", or "rejoicing". Being "made righteous" results in a life without sin(ning). If you're righteous, you can't be unrighteous. Thanks be to God !

    Paul's distinctions

Don't you find it incongruous that an Israelite brought us that message? Without Judaism, we Gentiles would still be slaves/servants of sin, and out in the cold. Jesus was revealing the blindness of the unbelievers while He walked the earth.

It is good to meet another non-sinner. I forgive you for your accusations. It is written..."Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;" (1 Peter 4:1) ..."Wherefore the...

    Paul's distinctions

Yes. Though I see this as another mystery. Jesus touched on the blindness of the unbelieving Israel a bunch of times. John 12:40 is especially clear..."He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be...

Finally, something we can agree on. I want a lawyer ! Are you now a non-sinner?

    Paul's distinctions

You mean the mystery of Christ in us Gentiles, the hope of glory? (Col 1:27)

Nah, I am no leader. But I have been equipt to follow perfectly ! If you see any difference between the two, say on. "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" (Rom 6:16)...

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

Me and Hebrews 6:2 say that is so.. No, as the water baptism done in the name of Jesus Christ is for the remission of past sins, while the gift of the Holy Ghost/baptism of the Holy Spirit is given by God to the truly repentant Yes, as the water baptism, post-resurrection of Christ, is done...

Were you correct, then Paul wasn't preaching Christ.

    Paul's distinctions

There was already a "foundation in Christ" laid before Paul's conversion, but Paul laid the same foundation to those who had not heard of it. Jesus died for our sin, and was raised from the dead. (1 Cor 15:3-4..." For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ...

A follower of Jesus and His apostles will say it too. I guess you can prove that by the result of the baptism you did partake of. As it was the means of the destruction of your old man of sin, (Rom 6:6), and your own death, (Rom 6:3-4), did it make you free from sinning? (Rom 6:7) ? That may...

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

No, it is not water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins. Your first is the gift of the Holy Ghost that is given by God to the truly repentant. (Acts 2:38, 10:44-47) The second is the end of the world. (Zeph 3:8, Luke 12:49, 2 Peter 3:7, 2 Thes 1:7-9)

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

First off, in Heb 6 we are reminded of the "principals of the doctrine of Christ". After repentance and faith, the doctrine of baptisms is cited. Plural baptisms. So we know there is more than one. Second, is the context of any baptism related scriptures; some relate to something man must do...

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

I will stick with Jesus, Peter, and Paul on this topic. Especially as I know this is how we enter into Christ. (Rom 6:3...."Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?" ) I know it doesn't always mean water. But to be likened to "burial", and...

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

That is another way of looking at it that I had not considered. Both, however, allowed Timothy access to the Jewish unbelievers. You're entitled to your opinion. Besides being water baptized into Christ, what other way is there? "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus...

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

Acts 16:3..."Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek." Paul did, or had, Timothy circumcised so he would be allowed into synagogues. So Timothy wouldn't be regarded as a...

    Jesus and Judas

Well, in the name of Jesus Christ, I appreciate it anyway. Never have, and never will. I guess you've called me a liar so many times that you are starting to believe it is true. It isn't. I am sure I have. Serving God rarely makes unbelievers think God or His prophets are nice. I'ld call...

    Sanctification

Me, me, me ! Not at all. And not the gradual "getting more sanctified as I go" sanctification. The author of Hebrews 10, (whoever that may be), does a good job of it too.
