Doesn't need to be higher
I've known a lot of responsible boys for whom lower would be acceptable as well - farm boys, Amish, boys I taught and worked with as a scout leader - boys raised by responsible parents. Two parents. A mother and a father.
but the buyer, however old, must not be suicidal.
Or at least must be willing to demonstrate an understanding of the principle "if murder/suicide, always suicide first"

Oh, which ones aren't allowed to? Ramos was wasn't he? The point was made even if you don't like how. It shows how ridiculous the law is where it comes to guns and alcohol in America.

No, it's because she's a very good friend of mine that I've known for years and know her to be honest, intelligent, empathic with a cracking sense of humour. You on the other hand have just betrayed a complete lack of maturity and anything resembling those traits.

We've had our laughs, to be sure. :)

Looks like it was right on target, by the response.

 Oh, you are on target that the law is demented...Having an 18 year old be considered adult enough to die in a war but not buy beer is sick. If legally a person is an adult they should be afforded every right under our Constitution. Including the right to keep and bear arms, buy alcohol, and a host of other things...Further no-one under the age of 18 should be paying taxes...If they can't vote they shouldn't have to pay taxes.

Allllll these perversions of just and righteous governance exist because of people just like you..."Because there ought to be a law against".

The "drinking age" is 21 because of people just like you...And yet you use this as a point as to why you should further restrict an 18 year old's civil rights.

Keep spouting your hypocrisies though....AB reeeaally laps the stuff up, as subjects tend to do. ;)

Makes me wonder what they think the drinking age should be, and what criteria they use to determine that.

But then I remember that they don't think, and that the only criteria they use to determine their views is what they're being told to believe and parrot by idiots like Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg. And I remember that idiots like Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg aren't smart enough to develop their own beliefs independently, they are merely parrots as well.

I thought the Amish boys had to use bows and arrows?

Seriously, laws that people are disagreeing with come about because of...people who disagree with them and think they should be changed? How on earth do you work that one out? Your latter is just asinine dude. You should really do better than that.
