You live in your world and I will live in my world.

"God from all eternity did, by the most wise and holy counsel of his own will,
freely and unchangeably ordain whatsoever comes to pass; yet so as thereby
neither is God the author of sin, nor is violence offered to the will of the
creatures, nor is the liberty or contingency of second causes taken away,
but rather established."__The Westminster Confession

The greatest commandments are to love God and all our neighbours. We are asked to love and pray for our enemies. We can do nothing greater.
If you love your family, friends, fellow countrymen and all others you will fight to the death defending them from evil.

My enemy is satan and those who do his will.

Shall I love them?

There will always be war.

"Jesus said to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains" (Mark 13:5-8).

They are doing the will of the great deceiver. Eric would have us believe that Jesus would have us love them.

There is a big difference between the deceiver and the deceived. One is the active agent who intentionally destroys. The other are those who are his victims. Two completely different levels of moral culpability.

It's similar to a child deceived and led into transgenderism by an activist who, for political reasons, deceives and leads the child onto declaring themselves to be transgender. Those who deceive and lead others astray have a much higher level of guilt.

One is to be pitied. The other opposed to the best of our capability.

Hmmmmm.... Was the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians and the Romans OKed by God? Millions of people died and millions more were made refugees and prisoners of war in those two wars alone.

God knew the hearts and minds of those involved. America doesn't. God can restore all life to a greater good life after death. Americans can't.

God's will be done, not America's. So no comparison.

Now is it God's will that we should all learn to fight in this world, so we shall know how to fight in the next?

Or is God's final will that in heaven we should love all our neighbours as we love ourselves? Even those from Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

If men fight evil to protect their loved ones then they are in the will of God. If men refuse to war against evil then they are not in the will of God.

Nehemiah 4:14
And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

JR,
Thank you for the video.
Just to be chatty with you, I will note that I do not self-identify with "systems."
Why not? Because "systems" commit you to believing in many of that system's
"bad boogers" that are in direct conflict with whole classes of Biblical passages.

Instead of committing to a "system" I say the following: I am in strong sympathy
with ,many parts of the Calvinistic system ~ and often I choose not to explain
further.

By the way, I have zero problems with strongly holding to what appears to be
direct contradictions. My position on that is this: I am willing to allow what
appears to be contradictions to remain strong and vibrant, while I insistently
quote Deut. 29:29 "The secret things belong to God" and I quote Acts 1:7's
great principle "It is not for you to know."

My view: There is no Bible verse that commands us to systemize the Bible.
(Do you know of one that commands us to do that?)
So?
So I am more than willing to allow two clear teachings of the Bible that appear
to be directly contradictory, to BOTH stand strong and firm, until the end of time.

My reply to John Weak Mann that moans: "Oh but I find that so utterly intellectually
frustrating." is this: Man up and deal with it or choose to stop thinking about it.

Best regards,

“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth.
I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn
“ ‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
Matthew 10:34-36

There is a war-principle clearly established in Matthew 10:34-38.
This passage does not say more than it says.
This passage does not say less than it says.

Matthew 10:34-38 can be reconciled with the concept of the Lord
Jesus as the Prince Of Peace and with Matthew 5:9's "Blessed are the
peacemakers for they will be called the children of God."

Both lines of thought have their proper place within Christendom. Both
are true.

Thoughts For Today:
"There is a time for war."__Solomon (in light for 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

"There is a time for peace."__Solomon (in light of 2 timothy 3:16-17)

PS
The message of Matthew 10:34-36 is this: The unregenerate world and the
regenerate world, are at war with one the other, at least generally.
Why is that true? Because both sides have opposing world views and both
side want totally different and totally opposing political outcomes.

But is it the will of God that there will be peace in heaven?
Yes of course.
War is the results of the sin Principle operating in the world.
The Lord Jesus came to defeat Sin and Satan and to restore the world.
"I make everything new"__The Lord Jesus Rev. 21:5
No more war or pain or death in heaven for the old order of thigs has passed away. Rev. 21:3-5

By the way, no sane man wants war.
War is arms and legs blown off.
War is parts of faces blown off leaving a mess that the best plastic surgeons can't fix.
War is mangled bodies laying as vegetables in the back rooms of VA Hospitals.

The sane man will make every effort to find an honorable peaceful solution
to political disputes.

BUT . . . sometimes that is 100% IMPOSSIBLE and when it is, then good men will
GO TO WAR to protect the innocent and to keep the world safe from the Hitler's
of the earth.

Best
