Kabul Fell Yesterday, Where Is The President

You have agreed with my last post.

But how many Muslims were directly responsible for 9/11? Was it fifty, maybe a 100. But certainly not the tens of thousands of Afghans who have died because America and their allies invaded Afghanistan. this is not counting the tens of thousands who have been injured and had their homes and livelihoods destroyed. Probably, 99% of them had nothing to do with 9/11.

How can this be true justice?
Would it have been more just to leave them under the thumb of Isis and the Taliban?

Is it just of us to ignore the suffering that's going on today as the Taliban regains control of the country and subjugates the women and young girls?

Is it more just for us to ignore the raping and murdering that is going on today?

We cannot fix everyone's problems by invading their countries and killing many of them in the process.

I agree. When it comes to foreign policy I'm a pure pragmatist. It's nice if we can achieve moral ends as well, but our primary reason for intervening should be based on America's interests.

It's not in our interests to be the world's policeman.

Invading foreign countries "based on America's interests" tend to be quite evil. Since the "rich and powerful" that actually run this country are looking to get more rich and more powerful.
It's not in our interests to be the world's policeman.
It ends up being a net negative, though some do benefit (just like in US economic policy).
Though some will certainly fool others into believing that policing the world benefits everyone and that it's "our responsibility".

You are mistaken. Good Afghans who loved freedom and justice welcomed Americans into their country and fought alongside Americans to put down the barbarian Muslim murderers that had kept Afghans living in fear for so long. The thousands of deaths in Afghanistan should be blamed on the marauding Muslim murderers, not on good people.

Are we talking about America here? You have enough to deal with in your own back yard.

Would it have been more just to leave them under the thumb of Isis and the Taliban?

After twenty years, four presidents and billions of dollars that is what is going to happen.

Is it more just for us to ignore the raping and murdering that is going on today?

You are picking out your own injustices.

About five million children died in 2019 from preventable disease and grinding poverty. About 700 million people will go to bed hungry tonight. The money spent on killing people in Afghanistan could have helped a lot of people out of poverty; with jobs and fairer trading conditions for the poor countries in the world.

These solutions don't require guns. More to the point; these kind of solutions would be welcomed.

Russia couldn't do it, America has failed; they had no end plan.

Let's not forget the true intention of going into Afghanistan; in theory it was to hunt down and kill Bin Liner and those responsible for 9/11.

The disgusting thing about unsaved barbarians in America is that they don't give a flip about the poor starving Afghans who were begging the US not to leave them to the will of murderous monsters but their concern is more about how much more free money and benefits the US government can give them to make them even richer than they already are, which is richer than 90% of others in the world.

Having gone into Afghanistan to fight the thugs protecting American enemies our troops found the Afghan people desperate for help from Westerners in putting down the terrorists and their crimes against humanity in their own country towards their own people. American soldiers brought a level of peace and prosperity to Afghanistan that had never been experienced before and will likely never be experienced again now that Biden has abandoned those poor people to the hell on earth created by the murderous gangs in their own country.
