... if you ignore the fact that the nuclear launch codes are now in the hands of a man who couldn't remember the name of the president he served under as vice president for eight years, a man whose cognitive decline is obvious to anybody who has worked with patients with that affliction.
I am no fan of having a doddering old man in the White House.

But, unlike the previous occupant, he is basically a good man.

You are quite deceived if you think that Biden is a "good man".
Very nearly expelled from Syracuse Law for plagiarism, he begged his way back into the program only to graduate near the bottom of his class. And yet for years he would lie that he was in the top of his class, ignoring the fact that he was almost kicked out. The man is such a perfect example of all the bad qualities one thinks of when they think of a politician.

The last four plus years of the totally lunatic derangement that the left has displayed concerning Trump as well as the total over reaction to Covid-19 during 2020 reminds me of a book I read years ago called, Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds by Charles Mackay. It's an old book that was first published in 1841 that just tells the stories surrounding several episodes in history when whole populations of people went more than a little bit off the deep end. Episodes like the Tulip bulb craze in Holland, the Crusades and eastern European which trials and the like.

This segment of history would definitely qualify as at least one and possibly two chapters in a revised version of Mackay's book as might be the whole of the next generation if the left manages to finish off the rest of what it recognizably American, which they will likely do, by the way. At this point, there isn't much of anything left to stop them.

Mike and Karen Pence arrive at the inauguration of Joe Biden.

I don't have much respect for Mike Pence, but I do respect his choosing country over party in presiding over the electoral college count.

As if there was ever any question that he was going to do anything else.

Complete delusional stupidity!

Delusional stupidity on Trump's part, yes. And on those who expected Pence to do just that, and when he didn't, chanted "Hang Mike Pence!" and brought a gallows to the Capitol on January 6.

But Trump wants Pence, who will oversee the vote count, to simply reject the votes for Biden, a power that he doesn't have under the Constitution and federal law. Trump tweeted falsely Monday that "the Vice President has the power to reject fraudulently chosen electors." And during a rally Monday in Georgia, he told supporters, "I hope Mike Pence comes through for us."
