Ishmael wasn't a heir though like Isaac. The Church as Isaac was seed of Abraham Gal 4:28

How about here with Isaac?

Did you see WHY Isaac was blessed?

In fact in Paul's analysis in Gal 4 he identified israel the nation under the siani covenant as Ishmael Abraham child according to unbeiief and the flesh.
