The virus is spreading rapidly in rural U.S. Pretty much red states where people believed Trump that we had "turned a corner." Well, we have, but not the way he was telling us.
We're back in the exponential phase of increasing infections. Doctors are getting better at treating it, but deaths are also beginning to rise.

What a dipstick. There's no need for anyone to bear false witness about the president as he's on record for lying about the virus himself. Downplaying it to the public while admitting on record that he knew how serious it was and enjoying doing so as well. Over 200,000 deaths is an "artificial inflation" is it?

I have two sisters and a brother in such a state. And my oldest daughter and her family live there. My daughter was infected, but didn't even have to be hospitalized. She was donating plasma after she recovered.

My sister told me yesterday her friend of many years had died from it and her friend's spouse was very sick and my sister was going back to self-quarantining for the near future, since where she is is pretty pro-MAGA, anti-mask.
I'm very glad your daughter is all right.

Sorry to hear this. It's all just an abstract fear, until someone you know and care about is taken. When this ends, it's likely that only about one in 800 Americans will have died, and maybe four times that number will have permanent damage to some degree. But that's a lot of pain and suffering when most of it could have been avoided if there was a competent president in office.
