Quote from Pastor Bob Enyart: "Christian supporters of Trump know something that they don't know that they know, how Trump is smothering Christians in the smut of homosexuality..."

A quote from Pastor Bob Enyart from Oct. 31, 2016.

Do you have anything more recent, as many Christians who once denounced Trump are now supporting him.

In this Jan 6, 2020 article Pastor Bob Enyart used the term "Trump Derangement Syndrome".

https://kgov.com/bel/20200106

Trump Derangement Syndrome s a term for criticism or negative reactions to United States President Donald Trump that are alleged to be irrational and have little regard towards Trump's actual positions or actions taken.[2] The term has been used by Trump supporters to discredit criticism of his actions, as a way of reframing the discussion by suggesting that his opponents are incapable of accurately perceiving the world.[3][1][4]

crime and freedom are two sides of the same coin

Oh! So! Let's just take freedom away, eh ?
Freedom is welded and bolted to your Constitution. Mess with that and you'll raise a hornets nest of true Americans, I guess.

Someone at the phony Christian website Charisma News told me this overused lie the other day and I hear it frequently from both secular humanists and ignorant Christians:

"Stop expecting non-believers to act like Christians".

Say what? Just because true followers of Christ don't murder, rape, steal and engage in sexual sins somehow means that we shouldn't expect that of others?

That's why we have laws, if not, we'd have a nation of anarchy, which we're seeing today.

This, the above, is a most interesting mindset of yours.
No Christian can murder, rape, steal or sin sexually.
And so, as 'Christians' do bad things, so you can erase them from your list of Christians.

And in this way, no Christian has ever done a bad thing. True?

You missed the point of my post. Christians aren't supposed to do those things and some ask why others outside of the Christian faith should be held up to the same standard as they are.
They've taken the Apostle Paul out of context in 1 Corinthians 12. In Romans 13 Paul acknowledges that it's civil governments role to judge everyone that breaks criminal laws, be it in or outside of the Church.

I think he does
This is probably a rhetorical question, but did you boys celebrate when SCOTUS ruled the way it did on Lawrence v Texas?

55 year old John Lawrence and 31 year old Tyrone Garner don't look too happy after being arrested for being caught in the act of sodomy.

Stop wobbling! You wrote it:- "Stop expecting non-believers to act like Christians" ........... and now "That's why we have laws,............."

Love it! So I missed your point, eh? And you want to tell us now that folks "They've taken the Apostle Paul out of context"....... ? :D
So we've got to see it all your way? Including how what is written in the bible means?

In effect what this means is that you think that World needs laws for non-Christians, 'cos your Christians are good and follow the tenets and laws of the bible, yes? Do you think that Christians are above such crimes as you already mentioned?

That is very wobbly, I think.

Oh Thank You For That!
So that trial, 17 years ago, is how several States across America noticed and then Struck down (repealed) such laws in their States circa 2011.
Read all about it......... please copy-paste the link in to google for more info....,
[h=3]John Lawrence, Plaintiff in Lawrence v. Texas, Dies at 68 ...[/h] www.nytimes.com › 2011/12/24 › john-lawrence-plaintiff-in-lawrence-...
24 Dec 2011 - The Lawrence decision struck down a Texas law that made gay sex a crime and swept away sodomy laws in a dozen other states. The decision reversed a 17-year-old precedent, Bowers v.

Bet you wish that trial; had been been quiet eh? It sure awoke sleepin' dragons, eg? :)

After the Lawrence decision, sexual perversion ran rampant here in the US.

Regarding the death of Lawrence: Was he murdered by another homosexual or die of natural causes (AIDS)?

68 is quite close to three score and ten.
And clearly your country doesn't agree with you at all.

By the way, you did not answer my question.... What do you think of the policies of Islamic countries concerning punishing adultery, fornication, homosexuality by stoning, flogging and other execution methods?

I don't think Bob Enyart ever debates here?

He's debated on here before, but recently he's been super busy, and hardly ever has the time to post on TOL, though he has posted a few times in the past couple of months.

I hate this thread, it is so stupid
You're probably better off unsubscribing from it then.

Or I could point out how stupid it is to want to make criminals out of sinners, especially when everyone is a sinner.

I wonder how the guy who started this thread would feel if we all wanted to throw everyone like him into prison for having whatever weakness towards whatever type of sin it is that he has.

Lawrence was very old in homosexual years, he must have had great government subsidized AIDS cocktails huh?

While the thought of being flogged undoubtedly arouses many of your LGBT allies, Jesus rescinded Old Testament laws handed down from God to the Jews. The Muzzies use those methods to this day (hence lacking the Christian tenets of repentance and redemption).

American laws against homosexuality never came close to reflecting what Islam does, so nice try.

BTW, here's a list of TOL'ers that think homosexuals should be executed, perhaps you should take it up with them (you can do it here, I need the view count to keep going up).
