This is one I really can't answer. I like so much music and I cannot choose favorites, and I can't even list a top five songs I hate, because there is so much that I also dislike and cannot choose.

I can say Flyleaf and Third Day are my favorite bands at the moment.

Good topic!

Favorites:

Among pop, rock, folk songs:

The Who- Won't Get Fooled Again (Who's Next)
The Who - Dr. Jimmy (from Quadrophenia)
Everything is Everything - Witchi Tai To
Fred Neil - The Dolphins
The Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows (Revolver)

http://philosopherswheel.com/ericrock.html (my top 400-plus in above genre, with links to hear them)
http://philosopherswheel.com/ericwestern.html (classical favorites)
http://philosopherswheel.com/ericnewage.html
http://philosopherswheel.com/ericorgan.html (classical organ)

And-- I LIKE Justin Bieber. He is seriously under-rated by people over 20 years old. His Believe album is very good, and his song
Pray
is outstanding.

Least favorite:

not really the worst, probably, but here's a few very well-known songs that I don't like:
Free Bird
Bohemian Rhapsody
Feelings
all early Donny Osmond songs
that's all I can think of at the moment

likely a least favorite:
anything rap
any punk rock
any grunge
any heavy metal after 1984
most (but not all) of pop and rock from about 1985 until this past year, unless it's by an older or newer group. manufactured pop is a good description of what I don't like, but this most definitely does not include JB or Owl City.

I can't really choose 5 rock songs that are my favorite. The list would vary so much from one day to the next. In classical, I'd say:

Mozart's 21st Piano Concerto (KV 467)
Mozart's 20th Piano Concerto (KV 466)
Mozart's 41st Symphony (KV 551)
Mozart's Salzburg Symphony/Divertimento/whatever you want to call it in D Major (KV 136)
Beethoven's Egmont Overture (Opus 84)

There are also far too many to pick just five for my list of least favorites. Almost all of which on any day would be modern manufactured pop.

Best list I've seen here so far. Especially Mozart's 41st. That finale is epic and transcendent.
