The Bible mentions that there is a time when human children are too young to know to choose good and refuse evil.

    Isaiah 7:16
16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

Though the chaff has no choice in becoming chaff, mankind does have the free-will choice of being righteous or being unrighteous.
Therefore, we can blame the unrighteous for choosing unrighteousness over righteousness.
So was there ever a time when the unrighteous were righteous?

Ok, now move along the time line past the point where you're liable.

          Hey, I've been nice.

But what was the wheat before it chose to be wheat, and what was the chaff before it chose to be chaff?

In your defense I now see I'm not asking my question the right way. Will work on it.

You are trying force your bias onto the Bible. Therefore, you ask dumb and silly questions. Whether you think that it's nice or not, it's just true.

You're not nice. Jesus' commandment was "treat others as you would have others treat you". Food for thought.

I didn't say that I was being nice. I said that what I said was true. Therefore, I am honest.

And Yes, if I were as silly as you I would want others to tell me that. So instead of being a "victim", accept some honesty.

Matthew 23 is missing in many people's Bibles.

Throughout our walk through life, we often swap back and forth between being unrighteous and being righteous.

                        Ezekiel 18:20-24,26-28
20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Learn to read what is written.

Incorrect. He was nice. He just wasn't milquetoast, he didn't mince words... Do you think Jesus went around being a jerk and being mean b/c "Jesus wasn't nice"? When his disciples pressed him with questions did he say "Sheesh, what are you a dunder head ha ha ha ha..."? Come on, man. You know what's right. Look in yourself and be honest. That's what Jesus told us to do instead of memorizing laws.

chaff is a part of wheat

you only get chaff at the end of the life of wheat

Mat 3:12 whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His floor and gather His wheat into the storehouse; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

everyone is given a life (wheat) but are spiritually dead unless they are made alive in Christ.
if they remain spiritually dead they are chaff(dead seed)

I think you should take back what you said so you don't embarrass yourself, and then go read the article I linked to.

I see. So I guess what I'm asking is, what makes one person remain spiritually dead and another not make this mistake?
