7000 migrants are now on the way to America. The caravan now looks like a river of people as far as the eye can see. They do not believe that the American Army will open fire upon them, if they try to force their way across the boarder. They seem to think they can overwhelm the military by their numbers. At other crossings they used the women and children for shields.

Mexicans and Colombians are now joining in with the Hondurans. Although they have been told that they are not wanted here, they believe they have a right to come here. Again, because they believe the whites stole this land from them.

Either these people are brain dead, or they have a plan. Do you think the Mexicans in America will interfere with the military within?

Obviously, conservatives, with all their self-righteous piety, have never read "The Parable of the Good Samaritan" or think that it applies to them!

When some Mexicans donated food and money to these unfortunates as an act of Christian charity when they passed by, this President and his motley crew of supporters immediately pounced on this as a subversive act financed by Democrats conspiring to create a Honduran "exodus" of political operatives as a ploy to coincide with the 2018 Interims!

Apparently in 21stC America, "The Good Samaritan" is now interpreted as nothing more than part of an elaborate political conspiracy by liberals to embarrass the conservative leadership!

listened to CBC/NPR last night and got just the slightest hint that maybe dragging the elderly and children along on this ridiculous pr exercise during central america's rainy season may not be the smartest idea

where's anna to weep for the children subjected to this abuse by their parents?
What I wanna know is, why is it mostly young middle-aged men in the caravan?

The new caravan forming is expected to be about 3000 people more. In total, about 11,000 people heading to America. Mexicans helping the people along the way. That's nice.

jgarden?

really interested in seeing an answer to this

here it is:

Luke 10:25-37 King James Version (KJV)

25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

for instance, do you think the lesson of the parable of the good samaritan is that we should accommodate those who demand that they aren't obligated to follow our laws?

is this lesson you believe the parable of the good samaritan teaches one that you follow yourself, or are you only demanding that Christians follow it?

jgarden - any particular reason to think that this doesn't meet the lesson of the parable of the good samaritan?

If those people do come to America they will need Education, Welfare, Social Security, and Health Care for a long time. And that is why they abandon their children in need of care here in America; and that is why people are forcing their way into America.

Behind the walls of the Vatican the Pope says, America should not be building walls.

No, they won't. It's not a necessity. In fact, a couple of those things are immoral.

And that is why they abandon their children in need of care here in America; and that is why people are forcing their way into America.

Behind the walls of the Vatican the Pope says, America should not be building walls.

The vatican and the Pope are hypocrites.

But we really should build a wall.

Say what? Where did you get this from?
There was a saying a while ago. "We didn't cross the Boarder, the Border crossed us!"
This is in reference to the idea that many Latinos have native ancestry. In the areas south of the United States the colonization model didn't include killing all the natives but rather integrating with them.
