Denying Facts

Who said that COVID-19 is not dangerous?

You can't even discuss how to determine the age of the earth. Why should we believe you?

There's a few on here who have totally downplayed the virus and I don't expect you to believe anyone who says anything contrary to your young earth belief. Alate One explained things in detail to you on another thread a while back only to be met with childish nonsense and a complete lack of anything substantive in turn.

There is a plague (excuse the expression) of fact-denying. On many controversial topics, we find that people on one side or the other deny facts, as a means of argument. This is not limited to COVID discussions (more on this later). For example:

Global warming. The Earth is in fact warming. It's measurable. There are numbers. It's known. One could argue that it is caused by human activity, or that it isn't, or that we should do something about it- or not. But numbers are numbers. So we do we find so many people insisting that the facts are 'wrong'?

If you have a good argument- make it! Don't pretend reality is different than it is.

Dr. Tim Ball Defeats Michael Mann s Hockey Stick Climate Lawsuit

Indeed, not just a fawning MSM, but many hundreds of subsequent climate studies have relied on Mann’s findings. Mann’s reputation was such, that most climate researchers merely accepted his graph, a typical example of groupthink.

Dr. Ball has long warned that if the world was permitted to see behind the secrecy they would be shocked at just how corrupt and self-serving are those ‘scientists’ at the forefront of man-made global warming propaganda.

"Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai (Inventor of Email) is an MIT PhD who exposes who will profit from the “Climate Change” hoax, and why it was right that President Trump pulled out of the pollution-incentivizing Paris Accords"

Untrue... start a thread about radiometric dating and we'll discuss the facts and not who's smart or has credentials.

P.S. Or at least I'll discuss facts... you'll likely go back to fallacious arguments like you always do.

COVID-19. It was handled poorly in some countries, states and or cities. Who's to blame? Well, that's a heavy political question. But why do we find so many claiming that the disease isn't dangerous, there are simple cures that are being 'squashed', people aren't really dying from it, numbers are false, lock-down is pointless? There are solid facts out there. Why deny the facts?

facts are open to interpretation

April 23rd
The antibody testing indicates that the actual death rate is far lower, less than 1%, Cuomo said.
  • The state randomly tested 3,000 people at grocery stores and shopping locations across 19 counties in 40 localities to see if they had the antibodies to fight the coronavirus, indicating they have had the virus and recovered from it.
  • With more than 19.4 million people residents, the preliminary results indicate that at least 2.7 million New Yorkers have been infected with Covid-19.
----------------------

As of May 1, approximately 15,000 people have participated in the ongoing study, which concluded that 12.3% of them had COVID-19 antibodies. That’s down from the first two reports: on April 22, the state recorded an infection rate of 13.9%, followed five days later by an April 27 report that indicated the rate had gone up by a full percentage point, to 14.9%.

The same fluctuation held true for New York City, where the study found that 21.2% of respondents had COVID-19 antibodies on April 22. Five days later, that number went up to 24.7%. But the May 1 report found that 19.9% of New York City participants had the antibodies.

There are facts. And there are interpretations of the facts. But the facts remain facts. The Earth is either warming or it isn't.
you start a thread on "facts" but provide none

fact the part of the planet where it is summer that part of the planet warms up ,
the part of the planet where it is winter that part of the planet cools down

is it going up by 2º at the equator every year ?

COVID-19 either kills people or it doesn't. There is a factual answer.
fact wuhan kills some people others do not know that they even had the wuhan

No, you won't. You'll just blow anything off that doesn't correlate with your religious belief. Alate One went into detail with you as regards science including radiometric dating and you had nothing but juvenile soundbites. Pointless.

I know exactly what it means and that you constantly use it in regards to the age of the earth.

Hey, believe the earth is ten thousand years old as much as you want but don't deny you've been presented with an abundance of evidence that doesn't tie in with your religious fundamentalism. Did you even understand Alate One's posts?

This is not a thread about COVID-19, Global warming, or any of these types of topics in particular. Just an observation that some people prefer to deny plain facts rather than argue their case in a more logical manner. There is room for discussion on how best to handle COVID-19, but there is no room for pretending that there isn't a problem.

You can't even discuss how to determine the age of the earth.

Artie's method of how to determine the age of the earth is the method of a child: "because other people say so"

Alate One explained things in detail ...

Alate One went into detail with you ...

... you've been presented with an abundance of evidence ... Alate One's posts ...

absolutely amazing :dizzy:

That's a lot of lying. I explained some of the many ASSUMPTIONS that this dating method requires. You, in your childish manner, tried to belittle me for pointing out that FACT.

Yes, she did not address the assumptions either. She's a true believer in the failed "Big bang" origins model.

You pointed out nothing of the sort and you had it explained to you in detail. Alate One had the utmost patience in trying to break things down for you and others only to be met with the same, predictable tired garbage as response. It's no wonder she pretty much gave up on it in the end on here because there's only so long anyone can cope with ignorance.
