  • Praise the Lord!

    Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place,
    No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.

    Psalm 91:9-10

    Because Thy Trust is God Alone

    Because thy trust is God alone,
    Thy refuge is the Highest One;
    No evil shall upon thee come,
    Nor plague approach thy guarded home.
    Angelic guards at His commands
    Will bear thee safely in their hands,
    Will keep thee, lest, if left alone,
    Thou dash thy foot against a stone.

    Though fierce and treacherous foes assail,
    Their power and wrath shall not prevail;
    Their cruel strength, their venomed spite,
    Thou shalt o’ercome with conquering might.
    Because on Me he set his love,
    I will his constant Savior prove,
    And since to him My name is known,
    I will exalt him as Mine own.

    As oft as he shall call me on Me,
    Most gracious shall My answer be;
    I will be with him in distress,
    And in his trouble I will bless.
    Complete deliverance I will give,
    And honor him while he shall live;
    Abundant life I will bestow,
    To him My full salvation show.

    • Praise the Lord!

      Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?
      Psalm 85:6

      Revive the Hearts of All

      God is here, and that to bless us
      With the Spirit’s quick’ning power;
      See, the cloud already bending,
      Waits to drop the grateful shower.

      God is here! We know His presence
      In this consecrated place;
      But we need the soul refreshing
      Of His free, unbounded grace.

      God is here! oh, then, believing,
      Bring to Him our one desire,
      That His love may now be kindled,
      Till its flame each heart inspire.

      Savior, grant the prayer we offer,
      While in simple faith we bow,
      From the windows of Thy mercy
      Pour us out a blessing now.

      Let it come, O Lord, we pray Thee,
      Let the shower of blessing fall;
      We are waiting, we are waiting,
      Oh, revive the hearts of all.

        He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
        Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

        Psalm 91:1

        When you pray…pray to your Father who is in the secret place.
        Matthew 6:6

        The Secret Place

        There’s a special place I love to go to
        That no one is able to find the way;
        For it’s deep in the recesses of my mind
        Where only I and the Lord can go everyday.
        The light of His glory has lit up the place
        What joyous surroundings no one can intrude;
        Not even Satan the devil is permitted there
        To mar the joy and happiness of holy solitude.

        In the audience chamber of my Lord and King
        I pour out my heart's desires and longings;
        He completely satisfies the needs of my soul
        With songs in the nights and joys in the mornings.
        When the burdens of sin and guilt consume me
        And my soul cries out in despair and agony;
        From the secret place I hear His loving voice:
        “Child, is not my grace sufficient for Thee?”

        Even if there were no pressing needs
        I go to the quietude of the secret place
        And when I leave our holy secret meeting
        I shall reflect the image of His face.
        Every day I go to the secret place
        He's always there to share His joy sublime;
        I hope, dear friend, that you, too, have
        A similar place in the recesses of your mind.

        • Praise the Lord!

          He has put a new song in my mouth —
          Praise to our God.

          Psalm 40:3

          He Gives Me a Song

          When life seems empty and all seem to go wrong;
          His presence is there for He gives me a song.
          When days are dreary and cold nights are long;
          When heart is breaking He gives me a song.

          When days are lonely and friends are all gone;
          He comforts and cheers me and gives me a song.
          When peace eludes me and dark fear reigns strong;
          He comes in the night and gives me a song.

          A stranger and a pilgrim feeling lost and forlorn;
          He builds me a mansion and He gives me a song.
          When temptations come from the foe's evil throng;
          He assures me of victory when He gives me a song.

          I've wandered away from my God and Home;
          His love wins me back when He gives me a song.
          Weeping endures for the night but real joy comes at morn;
          He fulfills this promise when He gives me a song.

          The gloom is dispelled my soul is adorned
          With glory and grace ’cause He gives me a song.
          I exalt my Deliv’rer, my Rock, Salvation's horn;
          My heart rejoices for He gives me a song.

          Strains of heav'nly music float down from the Throne;
          They accompany me in praise of Him — the Giver of Songs.

          • Praise the Lord!

            My cup runs over.
            Psalm 23:5

            Sunday Morning Praise

            My Cup Runs Over

            O Thou, whose bounty fills my cup
            With every blessing meet!
            I give Thee thanks for every drop —
            The bitter and the sweet.

            I praise Thee for the desert road,
            And for the riverside;
            For all Thy goodness hath bestowed,
            And all Thy grace denied.

            I thank Thee for both smile and frown,
            And for the gain and loss;
            I praise Thee for the future crown,
            And for the present cross.

            I thank Thee for the wing of love,
            Which stirred my worldly nest;
            And for the stormy clouds which drove
            The flutterer to Thy breast.

            I bless Thee for the glad increase,
            And for the waning joy;
            And for this strange, this settled peace,
            Which nothing can destroy.

            The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying:
            “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
            Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”

            Jeremiah 31:3

            • Praise the Lord!

              The LORD bless you and keep you;
              The LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
              The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.

              Numbers 6:24-26

              God be merciful to us and bless us,
              And cause His face to shine upon us.

              Psalm 67:1

              God of Mercy, God of Grace

              God of mercy, God of grace,
              Show the brightness of Thy face;
              Shine upon us, Savior, shine,
              Fill Thy Church with light divine,
              And Thy saving health extend,
              Unto earth’s remotest end.

              Let the people praise Thee, Lord!
              Be by all that live adored;
              Let the nations shout and sing
              Glory to their Savior King,
              At Thy feet their tribute pay,
              And Thy holy will obey.

              Let the people praise Thee, Lord!
              Earth shall then her fruits afford,
              God to man His blessings give,
              Man to God devoted live;
              All below and all above
              One in joy and light and love.

              He Gives More Grace.

              James 4:6

              His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
              His power no boundary known unto men;
              For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
              He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

                Show me Your ways, O LORD;
                Teach me Your paths.

                Psalm 25:4

                Lord, To Me Thy Ways Make Known

                Lord, to me Thy ways make known,
                Guide in truth and teach Thou me;
                Thou my Savior art alone,
                All the day I wait for Thee.

                Lord, remember in Thy love
                All Thy mercies manifold,
                Tender mercies from above,
                Changeless from the days of old.

                Sins of youth remember not,
                Nor my trespasses record;
                Let not mercy be forgot,
                For Thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.

                Just and good the Lord abides,
                He His way will sinners show,
                He the meek with justice guides,
                Making them His way to know.

                Grace and truth shall mark the way
                Where the Lord His own will lead.
                If His Word they still obey
                And His testimonies heed.

                • Praise the Lord!

                  He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities.
                  You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

                  Micah 7:19

                  Into the Depths of the Sea

                  Rejoice ye with singing who trust in the Lord:
                  Go tell His salvation with happy accord;
                  He saith in His mercy to you and to me,
                  “Your sins shall be cast into the depths of the sea.”

                  O seek Him believing the word of His grace,
                  And find in the Savior, the light of His face;
                  There shineth His Gospel, the shadows will flee;
                  Our sins shall be cast into the depths of the sea.

                  The burden so heavy, at Calvary fell,
                  For Christ is our ransom, and now all is well;
                  Yea, broken the bondage, henceforth we are free;
                  Our sins shall be cast into the depths of the sea.

                  Then glad be our service; to give day by day,
                  Love’s willing allegiance to all He may say;
                  We’ll sing in His glory, there ever to be,
                  Our sins shall be cast into the depths of the sea.

                  Into the sea, Calvary’s sea,
                  His love is an ocean, so boundless and free;
                  Into the sea, Calvary’s sea,
                  Our sins shall be cast into the depths of the sea.

                      With Courage Strong

                      With courage strong, we’ll march along,
                      Christ’s banner ever floating o’er us;
                      With purpose true His will to do

                      With loyal heart, we’ll do our part,

                      We’ll know no fear with Jesus near,

                      We can not fail, we must prevail,

                        • Praise the Lord!

                          This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
                          1 John 5:4

                          Victory Ahead

                          When the hosts of Israel led by God,
                          Round the walls of Jericho softly trod,
                          Trusting in the Lord,
                          They felt the conqueror’s tread,
                          By faith they saw the victory ahead.

                          David with a shepherd’s sling and five stones,
                          Met the giant on the field all alone,
                          Trusting in the Lord, he knew what God had said,
                          By faith he saw the victory ahead.

                          When like those who’ve gone before to that land,
                          By death’s river cold and dark I shall stand.
                          Trusting in the Lord, I will not fear or dread,
                          By faith I see the victory ahead.

                          Victory ahead, victory ahead,
                          Through the blood of Jesus, victory ahead.
                          Trusting in the Lord, I hear the conqueror’s tread,
                          By faith I see the victory ahead.

                            Sunday Morning Praise

                            The Lord Is My Shepherd

                            The Lord is my Shepherd, no want shall I know;
                            I feed in green pastures, safe folded I rest;
                            He leadeth my soul where the still waters flow,
                            Restores me when wand’ring, redeems when oppressed.

                            Through valley and shadow of death though I stray,
                            Since Thou art my Guardian, no evil I fear;
                            Thy rod shall defend me, Thy staff be my stay;
                            No harm can befall, with my Comforter near.

                            In midst of affliction my table is spread;
                            With blessings unmeasured my cup runneth o’er;
                            With perfume and oil Thou anointest my head;
                            O what shall I ask of Thy providence more?

                            Let goodness and mercy, my bountiful God,
                            Still follow my steps till I meet Thee above;
                            I seek, by the path which my forefathers trod,
                            Through land of their sojourn, Thy Kingdom of love.

                            • Evening Praise the Lord.

                              Praise the Lord!

                              He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
                              He leads me beside the still waters.

                              Psalm 23:2

                              Beside the Still Waters

                              Beside the still waters of peace my shepherd leads;
                              Peace is my spirit possessing, my soul He feeds.
                              Pastures so green are around me, waters of life shall flow;
                              Fairest of flowers surround me, ever I onward go.

                              Beside the still waters, oh Father, my God,
                              There lead me, there feed me, there show me Thy Word;
                              There give me Thy counsel, there grant me Thy peace,
                              There make all my sorrows and wanderings cease.

                              Beside the still waters, enlighten my eye,
                              That I may walk worthily when Thou art nigh;
                              Cleanse me from presumption, my heart render pure,
                              Keep me from transgression and make my faith sure.

                              Beside the still waters, oh bountiful store,
                              I drink from their plenty and thirst nevermore;
                              No more I am weary when there I may rest,
                              And feel with Thy mercy and love I am blessed.

                              Beside the still waters, Thy goodness is there,
                              Protects me from danger, preserves me from care;
                              For pain has no terror and death has no sting,
                              While Thou art so near me, my Lord and my King.

                                To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven:
                                A time to weep…a time to mourn…
                                a time of war, and a time of peace.

                                Ecclesiastics 3:1, 4, 8
                                That these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family…
                                and that the memory of them should not perish.

                                Esther 9:28
                                I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.

                                Our Soldier Heroes Sleeping

                                They’ll never cross the valleys, or crystal waters sweet,
                                They’ll never face the foeman, when charging armies meet;
                                O’er mountains, vast and hoary, o’er hill and grassy plain,
                                Our soldier heroes sleeping, shall never march again.

                                We’ll call our hosts together, from over land and sea,
                                They’ll never hear the trumpet, or sound of reveille;
                                Our country’s flag shall lead them a host as strong and brave,
                                As they who sleep in silence, where flowers o’er them wave.

                                They fought and won the battle, those hero boys of ours,
                                And we are left to weep them and strew their graves with flow’rs;
                                They’ve won the palms of glory, they wear the rose of grace,
                                Beneath His crown of sunlight their souls shall see His face.

                                Their feet shall cross the valleys, and Eden’s rivers sweet,
                                They’ll lie beside the fountains, where angels joyful meet;
                                But ’mid their country’s battles, o’er any earthy plain,
                                Our soldier heroes sleeping, shall never march again.

                                They’ll shall never march again, never march again,
                                Our soldier heroes sleeping, shall never march again.
                                They’ll never march again, never march again,
                                Our soldier heroes sleeping, yes, shall never march again.
