ECT What makes Preterism so impossible

Never mind the body count has never matched his fib.

Once again, you attempt to "prove" Christ Jesus wrong.

(Matt 24:21) For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again.

What happened to Jerusalem from 66AD to 70AD was unequaled before, and has never been equaled to date.

There is a spiritual resurrection that happens before a physical resurrection, but those are two separate events. One is the first resurrection and the other is the second resurrection.

See Revelation 20:5

I disagree.

There was a resurrection of believers in 70AD.

The second resurrection is for unbelievers only, and that hasn't happened yet.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

If I am wrong, please tell me what is the second death, according to Preterists.

You make an accusation then make a claim about Jerusalem. How does that refute that Josephus lied about the body count?

Nope.

I just admitted that all men are fallible.

Preterism cannot be traced to one man like Dispensationalism can.

So you admit all men are fallible. You had teachers and still do have teachers. They are all fallible. Why do you follow the teachings of fallible men Tet?

When did you morph into Little Johnny W?

Dispensationalism was invented by an fallible man (John Nelson Darby).

Preterism cannot be traced to one man.

Why is this so hard for you to understand?

Josephus did a few things to 'save face.' These have no bearing on some of the basic facts of the situation. He also included many 'unnecessary' details--accounts heard several times, too many times to be denied by unrelated witnesses.

Also, even though he was a priest he does not seem to be much of a 'theologian.' He does make an explanation of the irrationality of the revolt based on Dan 8-9 as though it was standard material for a priest to know, and was probably what Caiaphas meant about losing one person to save the nation, as though the line from Daniel could be circumvented.

You have no proof that Josephus lied about the body count.

That's what Danoh said. He is smart enough to look at all the evidence. Ask him to give you the evidence regarding the body count. Let's see if you can counter with anything other than you trust Josephus.

Those who were resurrected in the first resurrection did not have to fear the second death (being sent to hell).

What evidence?

Some guy 2,000 years later says the body count was wrong vs. an eyewitness?

How many teachers something can be traced to has nothing to do with fallibility of the teachers. You accuse disps of following fallible men. You just admitted to following fallible men. It is therefore meaningless to accuse anyone of following fallible men when everyone does it. GET IT???????

Those who were resurrected in the first resurrection did not have to fear the second death (being sent to hell).

Hell is prison, Hell is Hades, and Hell is the lake of fire. Which one are you talking about? The second death is the lake of fire. Hell/Prison/Hades will be put in the lake of fire. The SECOND death, the lake of fire will not be put in the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

Revelations 20:4 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.
